I currently have a house and would like to demolish to turn it FC. Does anyone know if my house plot would go back to original price? Or would it revert back to what I paid for it?

If you demolish your personal house, it will go back to how much you originally paid for. 3mil+ for smalls, 16mil+ for mediums, and 40mil+ for large.

You also have to be the leader of the FC to buy it as an FC house. Make sure to have your gil ready to buy it immediately after relinquishing it or else someone may snipe it.

While (probably) correct the more accurate way of phrasing it is that it will be the maximum starting price for that size/grade.

It'll go back to the current house prices which may/may not be the same as when you bought it (depends if you bought it before 3.3 as that's when all the prices changed to what they are now).

Full prices are available in the 3.3 patch notes here, but basically small is between 3 and 3.75 million, medium is between 16 and 20 million and large is between 40 and 50 million. There are 3rd party "grade" maps available (sorry don't have any to hand) so it is possible to work out the exact price in advance if you look up one of those.

You'll be able to reuse the permit you get when you relinquish your house so won't have to buy that again.
