Technically speaking...they can just do...nothing...Viera are digitigrade, but that only means that they tend to walk with their entire balance on the elongated (compared to humans) toes. Other than the distances between the joints, there's really not much biological differences. And seeing as the Viera's have only slightly longer feet than humans, if they stood on them flat (possible in the same way that humans can stand on their toes alone)...you wouldn't see much of a difference.

Their biology as far as lore goes actually allows flat locomotion. Look here and here. Then there's this one that does have heightened heels...but not significantly.

In reality, rabbits probably could walk on flat feet too. They can certainly stand on flat feet. However, their legs are made for jumping, and even humans jump off of their toes. Viera on the other hand have legs made for walking, not hopping. There is no problem with them walking in the same shoes as humans do. It's just something that I reckon Viera wanting to avoid since the advantages of their feet, faster and quieter movement and better jumping ability, are compromised. Rather, are limited to what they are for humans.
