    You didn't have to create another thread when you were quite active in the other thread, OP.


    In any case, no, it's a horrible idea and shouldn't even be slightly considered. It has been explained to you over and over again in the other thread why there's nothing wrong with being able to need even if you don't need it for stats.

    Back in the day I've run over 150 times a specific dungeon to get 1 bolt. Everybody and their mother were rolling on these items, and every time RNGesus didn't like me. A week later these items were removed from the weekly lockout and every time you would run that dungeon, people would just leave, dropping 2+ items into your inventory if you weren't fast enough to remove yourself from that said instance.

    Did it bother me? Nope because that's the way games work. Sometimes you have to "grind" to get some items, on other days/weeks you only need to run it once. You have months sometimes even years, before a new expansion/patch/removal of lockouts hits, what else would you do in the game? Right nothing, so put some effort in it and get the item you want, even if it takes more than one run. There's no reason to modify the need/greed/pass options on duties, just because it isn't 100% drop rate or obtainable every time.

    If you really need gear that bad just ask before the dungeon starts lol. Assuming your teammates aren't aholes or speak English, there's no need to chance the loot function. Why is expert delivery for GC not justified? There are plenty of items that players can buy that they need even more so than the gear. Unless you're planning on staying level 40 or something for god knows what reason, why so hung up on a system that does its job?

    As opposed to I am new give me everything? So what you are saying is when a new dungeon comes out I have to take off 270 pieces lower my ilvl by equipping a 250 piece(likely lvl of next dungeon to be added) spiritbond it and then do x with it. Just so you can get all the gear you need before you can actually even wear the gear? LMAO GET A GRIP!

    In the meantime enjoy the insanely overpriced marketboard items due to desynth ingredients becoming rarer.

    Repeating yourself doesn't make your claims valid either. Demimateria for crafted gear, desynthesis is a valid reason to need. GC Seals to progress various stages Anima development, GC deliveries are a valid reason to need. Buying up materia on the market to improve gear, materials to craft gear, selling for gil is a valid reason to need.
