I'm ok with them changing the loot rules. It is just way more complicated than simple need vs greed. There is need for self which should take priority imo, the there is glamour and retainer. It goes on. Most of the times I've seen people ask when the truly need something. However ina run the other day on my healer watch a fully geared BLM need every caster item and screw a lower ilvl smn then complain that the run took too long. When the smn asked for the gear was told to F off he didn't pay the BLM sub. So there are reasons to adjust it. Depending on your mindset.
