    Weapons with nonsensical names.

Of the lvling weapons throughout HW many of their names dont correlate with the material the model seems to be made of. I made a little list of the faulty ones that need change in either name or model.

    Mythrite Katzbalger

This sword seems to have swapped place with Adamantium Winglet in model. The ilvl 150 weapons all use a shared theme with this being the obvious PLD counterpart.

    Adamantite Winglet

This sword uses the mythrite texture and seems to have swapped with the abivementioned sword.

    Mythrite War Axe

This axe uses the Iron texture as opposed to mythrite

    Titanium Battleaxe

This axe is using the iron texture as opposed ot titanium

    Mythrite Pugil Stick

This stick uses gold tuxture as opposed to mythrite

    Mythite Patas

    These use a non-mythrite texture

    Myhtrite Jamadhars

These use iron texture as opposed to Mythrite

    Titanium Jamadhars

These use steel texture as opposed to titanium

    Titanium kris

These use an unknown blue metal as opposed to titanium

    Titanium Greatword

These use an unknown blue metal as opposed to titanium

I love the world and items the localisation teams have come up with, and i admire the consistensy throughout ARR. However stuff like this really irks me the wrong way. I dearly hope this wont happen in Stormblood.

I think is one of those 'necessary evils' that we have to deal with. Of course it would be great if every weapon could aesthetically match its name and description, but due to resource restrictions I think it's likely that this will continue in future for these kinds of 'levelling' weapons.

But the textures exist already, and the PLD switch around is such an easy fix. I honestly think its less a lack of resources and just neglect on the developers part.

This is true, if the textures are already there I see no reason why they shouldn't at least match with what they're supposed to match.

As for why this has happened, who knows. It may well be that they simply said 'eh just stick whatever textures on whatever weapon who cares'.
Conversely though, it may be a bug or maybe just an honest mistake by one of the programmers. Regardless, I think the only way we'll ever get to know if this is going to continue is by waiting for 4.0.

One may hope they dont do the same in Stormblood. Its just very immersionbreaking for me to go through ARR where all of the items corelate with their names only to get hit in the face with the mess that is these items.

If i craft a Mythrite sword i will expect it to look like mythrite gawdamnit!

This sounds like one of those little things that gets missed while they're racing to meet the deadline for a patch. Good job pointing it out, I'm sure Corvinoobus will be along eventually to either explain why these are the way they are, or let us know the naming conventions will be fixed a few hotfixes down the road.

There is nothing wrong with the naming of the weapons, as it lines up with the materials used in crafting them. If anything, the mistake lies in the texture used.
