Can I get my house back?

I see. Well I had 84 items in my house and I am to get them back somewhat... sadly my food items are gone which I think were the only ones that I lost. I had to check my Retainers inventory and clear out what I don't need. Right now finding an Apartment in the Mist is going to be a tricky to find as the 1st Ward is empty.

SE really needs to step up their game if they want Housing to be an amazing addition to it.

Star Wars the Old republic allows you to keep 4x fortresses forever. Wild Star which is f2play now has the best housing set up.

Maybe one day housing will be instanced and tied to account. Then all paying customers can have the same experience and auto demo won't be an issue. Ha Ha Ha, who am I kidding. If SE truly cared about you the player base this would have been fixed during 3.0. They just plan to perpetuate the problem till at least 5.0 now probably.

There are 36 wards with a block of apartments in each division and subdivision, I'm sure you'll be fine.

I managed to find out easily enough.

Though it's SO SMALL! I hate that I can put in all my decorations from my old home to the new Apartment.
Ugh... I really wish SE thought ahead when they made Housing.

Just a tip for you, if you ever get your gil back. Houses that expire go up on the market on the hour every hour.. possibly. As in, the last time someone went into their house, on that hour 45 days later, their house could possibly pop up for sale. So it's important to check each aetheryte crystal in the cities! I have gotten a few of my friends small houses this way on a server as busy as Balmung, you should be able to do it too. Ask a few friends for help if you need to, set one in each city and you'll find a house in no time. You're not the only person who's house went away.

Honestly I'm more afraid of buying a house in 4.0 if this system is still in place.

They have made no mention of making any changes to the system when comes to reclaiming, so expect the system will stay the same unless they make some announcement about it closer to expansion release.

I really hate seeing these posts.

I mean if you really cba to log in the game and walk into your house in a 45 day period of time, then you really don't deserve to have the house when there are so many people who will go to such lengths as taking off work just to log in right after a patch to buy new housing plots, or pay millions of gil over the actual cost of the land just to make someone give up their house and Then also pay the actual cost of the house as well.

This system has been in place for many months already, and again if you're really not keeping up with the game enough to even know how it works by now, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

Why would you want in-game notifications rather than emails if you didn't even log im during that period? That's the whole reason they send emails to you in the first place: because you're away from the game.
Either way, sorry to hear about you losing your house but that's just how the cookie crumbles. Houses are a limited resource and if you don't have time to play then it will become available to someone else.
