Except for the fact that PLD will lose foresight and rampart, and gain whatever they are replaced with. Net loss of one cooldown.

There was no mention of Foresight in that live letter translation, outside of speculation.
We can't really analyse the impact of the Rampart change without seeing how all of the defensive cooldowns get changed, so there's no point worrying about it.

I would be upset if there are no changes to awareness/cover/Foresight/pld still not being able to block magic damage. And I do agree atleast give us the chance to choose between phy/magic cds.The few times when Foresight was useful was t13 earth shaker. Also awareness is something that is almost underwhelming and tasteless besides Shiva bow crit back in the days.Along with Tempered Will that is just there and also has almost zero use in raids exept a6 and t8 mines. It is clear hat the content is designed against the pld.Right now warrior is the most op of the tanks,it was my main till I switched to astro.I hope SE rly fixes pld with SB then I would go back tanking again.

Make Shelltron block magic attacks!

i might be defeating myself but foresight as a cross role skill, over ranpart? They may not its sort of a waste, a filler cd anyway sure its mediocre combined with other cds but not really great as a cross class imo. I sorta use it with maybe convalesence or dark dance or something in conjunction but really..I wouldnt expect it to make the cut. Most likely would see its removal altogether in favor if rampart.....I wish we had more examples and details though, cause just the shadowskin/rampart thing is getting old. need more info.

foresight is only crappy like that at low ilvls, its much closer to 20% now (17 or 18ish % irc at i270)

a cooldown that mitigates less than parry(when it works) at max ilevel.

Rampart and Shadowskin are already the same skill. If they make it cross class it means both job will get a new skill which is specific of that job. I don't see any bad points in that or jobs losings "flavour"

yeah its probably more simple than we're making it, we dont know what else is going to be tossed in the mix, we do know that war will have to get some skills truncated as well.
