Playstation 4 Loading Screen Issues

I'm having a few issues with getting into the game today (5/3/2017)

When clicking on the icon to start up the game the game loads up the launcher, then goes onto a common white screen. This is where it gets stuck for a long time. Sometimes I am able to get the screen to load up the black background, others I can get it to load up the whole normal login screen. However an error in multiple languages pops up on the right saying "unable to load try again later". My brother has also been having these issues on his PS4.

I was wondering if anyone else was having these issues? Or if anyone knew a fix? As I've been looking for similar posts however have not come across anything, and no updates from Square Enix or server problems so unable to find any problems.

I think I'm having the same problem. I just recently got a PS4 Pro and keep getting error codes popping up when I go to update. I have tried searching solutions as well. I have tried all of them all and nothing works. And it seems to be an existing issue for over a year now. But when I updated my PS4 all was well and downloaded in three minutes. -.-

I have played XIV on PS4 since XIV launch on PS4, so been like 3 years now and while I have come across this issue before it rarely happens and just fixes itself. Think the longest it lasted one time was 3 days and then just starting working again.

I got a ps4 a couple months back it isn't a pro and I haven't had a single issue with it so far.

The pro is bound to have bugs for a while just being newer on the market, happens to all new models until they work the bugs out in later models.

I've been a long time console user and I always wait for a good while when a new console is released so when I do get one most of the original bugs have been fixed.

Seems to be a mix of responses then,

I generally find it take up to 10 mins for the PS4 to load the game while on the white screen, and even then it's down to RNG if it does load or just stays on the screen forever. After it loads the game runs and plays fine.

I can imagine uninstalling and reinstalling the game would work but really don't fancy having to wait for it to download and update again...

OK,

So deleted and reinstalled the whole game. No changes this problem still exists. It seems unable to load the game completely, which means I'm now even unable to download all the recent updates. It looks like its a problem with the game and/or PS4 itself. However this problem also still exists on my brother and now my sister in laws PS4. For looking like a rare issue it seems odd to affect 3 ps4's in the same household, but seem unreported by others and SE?

I had this a few times, I just closed the application and started it up again, worked for me after that. Also be careful redownloading the game, there's a chance that you'll get a glitched download patch that will basically make it impossible to download the patches, it cause people to stop playing because they simply can't get it fixed except by getting lucky

Not odd if they all connected to the same internet connection. The login screen doesn't actually reside on your system, the launcher is just a webpage. The whole uninstalling and reinstalling usually just a big waste of time.

Yeah I see what you mean, it doesn't seem to have done anything. That's something I didn't notice actually in that the screen doesn't reside within the system. I'll have to try and find another solution, as you say it seems to be outside rather than somewhere else.

Thanks for the info though :-)guess I'll have to take a break till I can fix it.

I had the issue after one of the patches and had decided to re-install which lead to over a month of aggrevation trying to find a fix of unable to download patch files.
Just keep trying and perhaps try the restore licenses option (i believe it is called in the system settings)
