Why You Love DPSing As A Healer

I'll start ~w~, I got really into it once I realized how intense the Umbrite farm was, and I wanted to make me dungeon runs/farms go a lot faster, so I started DPSing to boost clear times. That and now that I'm really used to DPSing, I feel like I've gotten better at reacting to things going on at all times, needing to make calls as to how much damage is acceptable from player to player, planning ahead to fit in DPS between big mechanics, and learning that a lot of my skills are good for more than just fixing mistakes (I only used Lightspeed and Synastry during emergencies), makes those occasions where I'm in a learning party much more bearable on my end, because I know exactly what I can do when I'm a pure healer, and the greater personal understanding of my skills means I'm helping to the best of my ability.

If it's given to me I'll use it. No reason not to.

As for me it makes dungeon runs go faster and it gives me something to do when I don't need to heal I can dish out atleast 4-5 Stonega's before I need to throw a Cura on a tank.

This and because I like the thrill of last second rescues after spamming Gravity during huge pulls and shaving solid time off of dungeon runs because I'm contributing.

Yeah... have to say for me it's because it's part of the meta, not from actual enjoyment. If I really loved DPSing there's no shortage of jobs to play dedicated to that...

Holy and Gravity can both be pretty satisfying to use, though.

Same. I only DPS because just vanilla healing is so unengaging as to be intolerable.

I find that funny, cos of my experience but somehow, a little sad if that is the right word. So you have to enjoy dps cos you dont have any choice.
