But if people are groaning this much about them more for their size instead of their actual design, then I kinda hope that SE actually DOES grant them their wish and make them much larger in scale.

They could have started by making their unique LB3 an actual summoning. I mean, Summons were usually just giant nukes in the series and seeing as Meteor hides the boss, mechanics, indicators and everything else under its shiny, eye cancer inducing glory, they had free reign here >_>

Maybe that's just it, maybe they do have that planned secretly but for much later in the game's life with future level increases (after all, it would make sense that a hypothetical 'level 99' ACN/SMN could summon a Primal at full strength and size, but a level 50 one cannot). But of course, players being how they are, with the whole "I want it NOW" mentality, cannot see this and just find it easier to attack the development team. *shrugs*

And maybe they don't. Maybe they'll end up ditching the summon aspect entirely because the summoner no longer needs them as they can channel the power of the primals directly and thus no longer need to summon anything. Maybe they don't. Maybe ninjas will gain access to their summoning technique that already exists in lore, maybe they don't. Maybe they'll learn the 4th mudra, maybe they won't. Maybe Black Mages will learn to summon voidsent. Maybe they won't.
