Can we have the option to not count unsync instances with our overall total SE?

What I mean by this as people know I'm not a fan of this feature but Ive done a fair share of helping out new players as a mentor because not everyone is patient like me waiting for a long que for something old. Or running wt stuff with my fc members , joining in with them on pony farming of content Ive already cleared. But for me Im not going to lieI like commendations, and the thing with usnyc this isnt possible. And someone posted here recently that they wish they could give more than one commendation but still remains you cant which means sometimes you dont get them every run.

So I just hit my 1000 instances last night but Im at 968 commendations but I know some of that is just from playing dps and running with friends. But Ive also ran alot of unsync content with friends, just to help out but Im hesitant to continue because I would rather not have 1500 instances and like 1010 commendations due to tryin to help friends out with unsync content. So Im wondering is there anyway that we can have the option for unsync runs to not count on our instance achievements are maybe to go into a separate form of achievement like how many unsync runs youve cleared and let only the ones you did sync count in your main instances. I would really love a change to this , cause Id rather them not count when theres no way to get an commendation.

If anything they should not count ir order to become mentor but thats about it, what you are requesting is a quick fix for a personal problem and devs should not catter to anyone compulsive behaviour.

How is it compulsive behavior tho, its just a request like anything else, I dont really see the point in them counting without our instances when they could have their own achievement because its like running two different versions of the same content. And Ive said it before Ill say it again I dont really think people run ifrit extreme 500 times just to become mentor, I doubt that even 1 percent of mentors have done this but people always say it tho.

You have no guarantee of getting commendations through the DF with a random party at all. Expecting to get them as you are is...silly, tbh. For all you know, your next 200 instances without entering in a party could get you 0 comms; what would you do then?

I'm also guessing you started playing after commendations were added to the game.

Its not expecting them , why would I think that but I highly doubt Id go 200 instances in df without gettin a single commendation I leave one every time even if its me and two other friends. Well not every time sometimes runs are just ugly, but this isnt me expecting anything its more so you out right lose the chance to even get them running something unsync. This isnt me being cocky or anything Im just asking for them to be separated , if you dont even have the option to get a commendation.

And yess I just started playing this past summer and Its not like Im the only person in the game who likes them, people even have macros asking for them or will outright as for them sometimes.

What is your point then? In your OP, you are almost making a case about instances cleared/commendations received ratio being out of the alignment to desire. I don't get it.

You also lose them when doing stuff as a preform sync too when you're a full group.

Op really this isn't an issue I've been doing instances for years in this game and im not at 1000 coms yet and anyone who asks for it definitely won't be getting it as i com the person who i feel deserves it the most in any runs i do.

My point is that for instance I helped a friend with their anima I ran maybe 6 level 50 unsync dungeons with them while I was glad to help that was 6 instances with no possibility for a commendation. Before maintenance the other night my fc asked me to help with wt and we ran about 6 instances before maintenance shut down thats just two occasions of 12 instances that didnt really count for anything.

All Im saying is why not just put them separately so that It doesn't effect the commendation ratio, running unsync you will be trailing from behind your amount of instances when if unsync didnt count you actually could have more commendations than instances. Why is that a problem everything in this game is about awards and achievements, commendations is a reward and achievement so why should an instance you cant even receive one in at all because the system doesnt work like that count towards your instances. Because they are two different game features, so why are they thrown in a pool together.

@ Kathryn Ive never asked anyone for a commendation but once I do my dailies and maybe Im just re running them cause a new player in the nn wants help with a dungeon, or a budy wants help leveling one of their jobs. I dont need the gear in there I dont need the matts really so at that point the only thing that does matter is the commendation is it not , if Im running copperbell my only reward would be to see how well I got the dungeon done and a commendation at the end.

Why does it matter that your commendation and instance completions are not equal ratio. I guess OCD?

Consider commendations as a reward you give to someone you don't know.
You can't get them from someone you know except if you meet out of pure luck via DF.

Rewards you get for having some are only meant for you to be nice with unknown people.
