But why do dentist always feel the need to hurt people ? Y.Y
I've always wondered and considering we have players from all over the world and it's related to the topic....
Do you guys get stuck in your line of work in other country or is it easy" to just change if you want to ?
Here in France, once you work (or even studied) in a line of work it's pretty hard to change, people will be suspicious as why you wanted to change and won't see it as a good thing, almost as if you sucked at what you did before and therefor will suck at your new job too.
The worst thing being the commentary like "but you have a job, why change ?" (considering we have a lot of unemployed people :/), they won't even consider that you may not feel good in your work oO
How does it work in others countries ?
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

I was an officer in my country's military, followed by 8 years a nurse, and have this last year entered life as an embalmer. I am also returned to update my schooling with an eye to the future as a primary school teacher which would be my 4th career.
In the USA you can change course fairly easily if you don't mind some study work.

I would say that here in the US, in general, there isn't the stigma about changing jobs that exists in other places. We're generally free to look for greener pastures, so to speak. That being said, it is a red flag for an employer if a potential hire has a resume a mile long and has never held a job for any significant amount of time.
From a more philosophical standpoint, I think whether or not a person is "stuck" in a particular line of work depends entirely on that person's attitude. I love what I do and can't imagine doing anything else, even if some days make me question my life choices.
Recepcionist at a hotel, 50 hour weeks. Burning out soongoing to return to English teaching, aspiring writer, currently undertaking my first big project.
GAME store manager in the UK.
Weee! No one has my job yet! I monitor satellite and ground based communication networks. I believe we have more satellite locations across the United States than any other entity except the US Military. This has been one of the best jobs I've ever had, and I have learned things that I didn't even know I didn't know.
