2.X Big Fish changes.

So I've been working on Feast of Famine for the last few months, having to catch the first 3 again because I accidentally deleted the quest after I turned them in. Since these fish are barely being touched anymore, and aren't used for collectables at all, could we please have the weather requirements for some of the more irritating ones, such as Helicoprion changed? Currently Helicoprion needs Fog leading into Heatwave. I have only seen that sequence spawn once in the last week. Could it please be changed to just heatwave?

why should they change it, it already got heavily nerfed by the implemention of patience I + II.

Because difficulty of acquisition between fisher and botanist and miner is completely out of whack pre-HW. If you need something special for a botanist or miner pre-HW, you just show up during a certain time window and pick the right slot. If you need something special for fishing pre-HW, you not only need the time and the weather but sometimes two or three weather windows to all line up correctly. And that's assuming they even bite. I have my miner and botanist blessed tools done. I'm still struggling with fishing because I can be at the right place, at the right time, with the right weather pattern and there is nothing that guarantees a bite in that window. It's ridiculous.

I say pre-HW because to get the things post-HW for botanist and miner you need a gathering rotation, but for fisher you just fish it up and maybe use one or two skills to help you. So they balance themselves out more.

I know some people are happy with fishing because it's hard and they equate it to hardcore raiding. I would much rather SE brings fishing into parity with the other gathering classes and gives us three viable gathering Jobs that are well-balanced, instead of two that are well-balanced and one that feels tacked on.

No. If I had to suffer for 4 months trying to get my achievement "Of Dragon's Deep", everyone else has to as well.....NO FREE PASSES!!!

But it is way easier with patience I/II. Weather is weather. But I caught my helicoprion from clouds to heatwave. Just make sure your fishing in the right spot. I got so frustrated I looked up on youtube and realized I was in the completely wrong spot.

Just use weather planner and set up your alarm clock. It works up to 2 real weeks in advance (1000 weather changes).
