Can we have the option to not count unsync instances with our overall total SE?

As far as usefulness for the community as a whole is concerned, this isn;t worth the time it would take for the dev team to draw up a flow chart showing how it would work.

Asking to see the ratio apart from unsync is one thing, but asking to effect mentor requirement? so meaningless

This is a non-issue, and as implied, it is some weird compulsive behaviour (may not be the right word but I get the point) in thinking you need to reach 1500 dungeons with 1000 coms at the same time.

1. getting 1500 dungeons does not magically make you an expert.
2. getting 1000 coms does not magically make you an expert.
3. getting mentor status is not really a big achievement, if you think this, then they need way higher requirements.
4. I met a 270 gear all 3 tanks, 270 mch/brd and 262 drg, with 60 job level in EVERYTHING but fishing, and you think a person like this would have some basic understanding on some PvP concepts, but nope, complete dead-weight. I used as much as I could as a SCH and I STILL had to let them die or me, because of the tools SCH lacks, and the thing is they where whm, def could done more to save themselves.

In the end no amount of requirements is going to teach people how to be aware and have a true meaning to a mentor to others.

as for starting new chr and something about dps... you do realize elvel 60 dps, tank and healer is needed? Because of that my friend got it though crafting. She was very slow warm up doing battle content in this game, more so being a DPS.

Im already a mentor , I got it through crafting but now I have both requirements I already had the comms just never did 1000 instances. But all I have said this whole time is just make them seperate, thats all that way it would only count dungeons , guild heist potd, raids etc you do normally. Instead of irrelevant runs that may just be used to farm stuff or something like that. I just dont see why it counts really , because you could literally do 100 unsync instances a peice for tank months and why should that count , I dont really understand that.

And what everyone has been asking you, including me, is why does it matter. Keep in mind the list I gave that I quoted myself on. As some suggested just seems a very weird ocd issue. You do a dungeon, doing a level 15-17 dungeon that takes 20 mins to do as a level 15, or as a level 60 that takes 8 mins to do. Why does it matter if one counts and the other does not? Should not matter if the unsync counts? at some point you need to accept people are throwing up their arms and going "OMG who the hell caaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrres"

No one here really understands why you want this to be separate or why there is a real need for it. At first it sounded like you wanted this because of some self impose requirement for mentor status, so it needs changing. The reality however, no matter the requirements you put in mentor status , there be a high number that does not deserve it, no matter the requirements.

To really help you with advice or to properly comment on what you are really asking, you need to be clearer. If you want to know why it is the way it is I answered that. The mentor system and the dungeon clearing achievements was out before entering dungeons without sync, it is from when the game was 50. So my guess the development and honestly I feel the same way, that it is not important.

So now I ask you to clear up things and simply explain why spiting this statistic is important. How does it effect GAME PLAY , to do it?

The Mentor system was added in patch 3.2. Unsync already existed by then.
The dungeon achievements were in the game from earlier though.

Because my request is pretty simple its not complex are crazy at all considering some of the things posted on the forums like how people are upset about SE selling an emote on mog station talk about proprieties. If someone thinks commendations dont mean anything at all then the very thought of my post wouldn't make sense to them, but the thing is they do the game says that they do , they dont say that emotes mean anything but clearly to the base they do.

I mention having alts on my alts I never ran anything unsync and I also tanked on them I believe I have more commendations than instances on my alts. If you are a tank or healer even if some people dont give them, even if some like giving them to dps it is still a guide to whether or not you are preforming up to par. Because I can assure you if I mess up or cause a wipe 9 times out of 10 Im not gettin a commendation. But on my alts for instance my ratio is clear I have no unsync instances that I ran with friends its pure guild heist, trials , and dungeons on there no filler from unsync.

All I was asking was to not have filler in my instances , because it creates a fabricated illusion of how many instances Ive done where I could be judged on my gaming performance. Because I said this is what a commendation is suppose to be and in most cases thats what it is the reason dps dont get them is because in any dungeon in the game if one dps goes down you can still do your duty. In many of the first dungeons you dont even need 2 dps Id say prob in every dungeon in the game you can finish a duty with 1 tank one healer and one dps. So there is a reason why tanks get them or healers because they just simply are needed more in most of the instances in the game.

So all I was asking was just like on my alts to have a clear number, of my real duties the ones I actually went in witout just doing content with friends or helpin new players out in unsync content buffing my numbers to the point that my commendation to duty ratio is behind. Why this is so hard to understand is beyond me considering all the things posted on this forum everyday what I am asking is very valid for someone who may want to hold value to commendations.

If you want your comms to match or surpass your number of instances run, start queueing up in roulettes as a tank or healer and play in a manner that encourages at least 2 comms. If you run unsync'd, run twice as many roulettes. You'll be slowly correcting that which is bothering you while contributing to the community of a game you hopefully enjoy.

You always have a logical cool headed reply , like the amusement park analogy you had in the other thread. This makes sense but I guess ultimately I guess just have to get over it because ill be chasing myself the whole time instead of enjoying the game itself.

I just think they should be separated because I truly do think they are two totally different features and should be treated as such. Its just crazy to me how earn and wanting to be a good gamer is looked down upon on these forums but yet I see all the time how excited people are for getting commendations. Or if Im tank and my friends healer we wana see who got it , its very common but yet on these forums it doesnt matter and its not relevant just like everything that goes against the grain. My post is nothing to get up in arms about it is just requesting a quick fix simple change but of course every body loses their mind just because I posted it knowing it would actually have no negative impact on the game at all.

Wait - are you saying here that running content unsyched makes you a worse player AND that this being reflected in a tiny stupid little achievment decreases your skill somehow? Thats some strange way of thinking... you dont become a better player by getting more achievments, you become a better player by learning and improving yourself. And if your only incentive for that is that you'll get a shiny title someday, you'll never be a real good player.
What has the dungeon-counter to do with skill?

This actually isnt a bash on unsync , would just simply rather have a more accurate commendation to dungeon instance ratio I dont see how thats exactly a bad thing but obviously it is. How it is now I have nothing to compared them to because I have no idea how many unsync runs ive done with friends.

Why do you not realise that your idea of a 1:1 ratio is - excuse my choice of words here - bullshit and only made up in your mind?
Or explain to me why you think it has to be a 1:1 ratio. Sounds as if you believe you deserve one commendation for each run you do, but you dont. Sometimes you get non, sometimes maybe up to 7.
