Zodiark.
Zodiark is the Ascian's primal, no? Or is that just their diety? (At least it was heavily hinted toward the end of ARR story).. Lore buffs can correct me if I am wrong here.. I watch the cutscenes but am not as knowledgable about the Lore as some of you guys..
Considering the Ascians aided Ilberd in the summoning / obtaining Nidhogg's eyes.
It also being a primal that is more menacing than Bahamut, would suggest it would have to be a pretty damn strong Elder Primal.
And a big part of the Ascian's plotline / goals have been to summon their primal..
Just my speculation. I could be way off the mark.

Come now guys, it's fun to speculate and all that, but it is not healthy to deny such an obvious truth.
I for one welcome our new lord and savior the Goliath Moogle when he finally breaks free from those feeble bonds the potato shackled him in.
I'm still placing my bets on the Blue Dalamud primal being Shinryu. It just seems so fitting with Ilberd's gloating beforehand about a power stronger than Bahamut, and our knowledge of Omega's awakening. Shinryu is often the opposite colouring to Bahamut as well, which a Blue Dalamud could (while just by chance of the spell) reflect on that

hmm so many good theories though it still makes me wonder if sloppy illberd was even referring to rhalgr or nidhogg there could be the possibility of something else in the cocoon of light since he did deal with the ascians they could have even told him of bahamut ofor a primal possiblely even more fierce then that. i know midgardsomr is kinda following us but who knows if an asican captured a piece of his essence then infusing it into nidhoggs eyes we dont know what the limits of an ascians powers are.
