I know they are increasing indoor soon but what about outdoor? The item caps are too small.
I know they are increasing indoor soon but what about outdoor? The item caps are too small.
I believe the most recent Live Letter, they stated they weren't doing that yet because it would affect outdoors which isn't instanced like indoors.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Specially on small plots, a limit of 20 items is way too low. I do hope they will increase it, even if only a bit, but 20 for a small plot is way too low.
PS4 limitations
It's just the indoors being increased at this time. It's harder for them to increase the outdoor allotment since you're loading up a ward's worth of furniture data.
Here's the exact portion of the live letter ErryK's referring to if anyone wants to watch.

It'd be easy for them to increase the outdoor allotment if, oh say, private player housing was instanced.
Maybe 5.0.
Maybe. That might require building a entirely separate system. Regardless its not coming soon as far as we can see.
In the short time they said that they would look at what they can do with outdoor furnishings once they have finished working on the system for moving houses.
Yeah, guess I'm still scratching my head over why they've refused to make Private Instanced Housing a thing. The Wards could become strictly Free Company territory. It'd be great.
They said they're not increasing outdoor furniture for 4.0, but maybe sometime along 4.X![]()
I've realized some people don't know how much power you can obtain from an instanced system so, example overview: https://youtu.be/3D5d1l6rywg?t=25s and for those who lack creativity here are some specific variations: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...GG33NxfyaGJDE/ (for reference - each person starting with the same area and going from there, also note the tabs at the bottom). SE's graphics with anything like the above system would be the best housing / system of any MMORPG I've ever seen.. imo, I'd die <3. Of course even if they didn't use the potential, everyone having a house for themselves is a massive boon (for community morale, and economy).
As for OP/the desire to have more items with our current system, I'm thinking due to the fact you have so many of other people's stuff near you that they could make it happen BUT you'd basically never see the design of houses but the one you're currently directly staring at / in. Which again would lead to the "why aren't we instanced?" question, because if you can't see any buddies stuff but when you're already there.. lol no difference from just exploring a house realm. If we were more spread out like LotR it'd probably be easier to have more outside objects, but FFXIV's plots are quite small and tight (a lot of objects in a smaller area, needs a smaller draw distance).
Side bonus from everyone getting their own house = more people buying stuff from the market AND Cash shop, so 5.0? 5.5? 6.0? Come on SE, will send a kupo nut. Of course they could actually add auto generating wards (like LotR) but I still believe that instanced housing would blow the current housing out of the water. Or they you could you know not do anything and we keep having housing issues, FC without proper features, heroes of the realm without a home, and all that great stuff - maybe build a wall to stop non-house owners from coming into the zone cause the chance they'll get one is near zero anyways (lol, /cry).
