Lvl 60 gear for rdm/sam

I am considering farming alex 9/12 for token to purchase lvl 60 gear for rdm/sam. Will they share a set with other jobs or will i be wasting my time?

I've been hearing lately that SAM will be sharing gear with MNK and that RDM will be sharing their gear with BLM/SMN, not sure if that's true though.

No its not a waste. I saved tomes for my drk and they had a 130 weapon for it when HW came out. That upgraded tome stuff was good untill 55 and i assume itll be bis for both until 65

Don't forget to also snag those Primal drops while they are cheap, I foresee a giant price hike once those Inferno Katanas and Rapiers can be made.

RDM = caster gear
SAM = MNK gear (at least until lv 60)
We will see if SAM get own gear sets starting at lv 61 or will still share gear with MNK

Just wondering if it will be like Nin when it first came out as well. Share it with Mnk until have their own equipment from the new expansion onward.

You can count on it being shared till 60, but the difference with ninja is that the main stat had to be different too. Personally, the luuk of SAM just doesnt seem like mnk garb is super fitting, besides a few sets. so who knows? As far as prepping for SAM, you should be ok to get monk gear in advance, even the shire set, save some tokens and get the tomestone through creator, get the upgrades and just hold on till the expansion.Mosy likely they will uncap weekly tomes soon, or double the cap like hw so if you do expert dailies you should be able to get the gear in a couple of weeks

Well if you wanted to be on the safe side, you could just hold on to the tokens themselves and buy the gear from the vendors when the xpac launches. You'll have to do that for the weapons anyway

SAM was already confirmed by Yoshi-P that it will share gear with MNK.

Everyone is saying that RDM will 100% share gear with casters, but in my opinion, if it were that simple, it would have already been confirmed by the dev team the same way SAM was.

So I'd say just hold on for RDM until you get confirmation, but you can start working on SAM.
