i'm just saying that shouting for hours on end isn't acceptable and the only time i manage to level is when my linkshell members decide to power level me, and that's for a price, it's kind of stupid that levels 1-40 suck ass, but once your 40 you can hit 50 within a few hours. in ffxi the xp and party system was more balanced, until everyone hit 75. that's the problem here now, everyone has everything 50, so parties have become rare, especially if there's no mages. again if people want xp it's turned into PL parties, you need a rank 50 and everyone has to PL for 5-10 pulls. fortunately enough i have 2 50's but people new to the game don't and that's very unfortunate for them that they need to struggle like we did way back when this game released.

I'm quite sure I've found your problem - you're spending your time sitting in the city shouting rather than going out and killing things, doing leves, quests, and behests - thereby relying on others for your EXP gain. In three hours of leves, you could probably level at least once or twice.
In three hours of sitting on your ass and shouting, you gain not a single point of exp. This is Final Fantasy XIV, not IdleRPG.
