I'm fine with it tbh and I'm not even bothered. I would of liked it to be the last boss in Stance.
But we can't have everything can we?
So who doesn't like it they need to get over it.

Proto Ultima is poorly implemented since they just lazily plopped it there. For such an intimidating enemy and franchise known superboss it was given no buildup and dies in less then a minute despite AoE bullet hell. An amusing distraction if anything.
it kinda would have been better if the fight started off with the succubus and Proto Ultima dropped in on the fight like Brayflox's Longstop
Age of War
Im fine with it but it surprised me when i saw it for the 1st time xD i thought we will fight him as extra boss but no xD
Quite spoilerish but... I think we haven't seen his final form yet.
In 3.55b we'll get Diadem, and we know what kind of special weather Diadem had sometimes.

It's ok. As much ppl going to complain that it's too easy, remember Yoshi's quote in the fanfest towards the community, "I don't trust anyone"........or something like that. You make it too hard, people complain that it's too hard and vice versa if it's easy. You can't win at that point so it turns into the "screw it" way and take it for what it is.As it's another 'weekly' thing now I just want to end it fast and leave the instance as soon as possble. And if there's a 1 minute fight instead of 8 dull minutes long, that's great because it saves a lot of time in the long run.
No challenge? If I'll want a challenge I'll do Savage, ty.
The only thing I don't like about proto-ultima is his high-pitched green beams when I am wearing headphones. That stuff makes me want to claw my ears out D: I thought I wouldn't hear it again after I completed Minstrels ballad: Ultima and The Praetorium. I was wrong D:
Then you have people not playing your precious content, and eventually your game, as much as you'd like, if at all. it has to have some appeal. Becoming tone deaf isn't the answer, and I'm sure that is not what they are doing, because it is important to know that this is lazy and inaccurate to what they advertised. It's ok. ah, no. There's just one in existence according to the story, not an army. Pultima is a poor implementation for something that is supposed to be a golden, shiny version of the ultima weapon. the equivalent of this is having the Warring Triad (or other primals) be a roulette dungeon run to be mowed down. no joy at all.

Took him on last night, it didn't end as quick as others have posted but it was still quicker than what is normally there. Yet, all those complaining how easy it was were all dead in the fight.
People would put in threads about how they can't level every job or how difficult it was to level up multiple jobs. We are nearing the end of 3.0 and with 4.0 this gives people to spec out the entire accessory side of things. There shouldn't be much of an issue for people getting geared up for all content at this point along with getting ready for 4.0
People also complained over the way instances and dungeons were set up. They begged even for the slightest difference, as slight as this is..we got one. Yet people are not happy.
One thing I see a lot since 2.0 is that people seem to have a hard time getting gear for the accessory side while leveling up. In 3.0 the gear you could get at the end of 2.0 took you well into the 50's, sure you could go to 60 you were just being a pain in the rear for the most part. This should help most people with that issue.
Still, I like the ability of quests changing the monsters inside of an instance. Applying this to dungeons would be wonderful, you could get a token to instead obtain a piece of gear that you need for a job / glamour.
On the other hand, this was so easy to push through I have no idea what the fight is about...he jumps apparently at some point? I really couldn't tell, he was dead. The HP should be increased, and it's taking something that gives a good item level accessory of your choice and hands it to you. To me this goes against wanting to close the gap of the players. Making difficult content to where they have to dodge and perform. This fight is easier than the succubus but gives better rewards. There is both good and bad from this, just depends on which you get more out of.
The way this game is set up it is easy to make things too easy / hard. Our combat revolves around a few aspects so one change is a big one. This is their fault for the way the game was made to avoid it being too complex for people. In the end it's an easy weekly that stacks with other weekly quests. I'm not thrilled with it but I don't hate it either. So I'll continue to accept the taco inside a taco inside a taco bell quest, and I'm sure those who complain..will too. So you're feeding the machine.
