Dps must have been very low because it is super easy, adds die fast enough and mechanic wise people have more then enough time to dodge.
Overall like i said i still love it as i loved the MSQ Ultima fight back in the day

The encounter itself I found appropriate, but the placement of the boss was bizarre. Could have done if there was some context for him being there other than "we needed a place to put him" lol.
A bit off topic don't you think? I have carried dun runs before, some unsuccessfully that led to vote abandon since I have limits. I remember this one run we past the first boss purely due to me, raising the other healers constantly along with cross healing and killed it split seconds before the dps check of wiping to it. The next one I saw the wrong orb color somehow.. I ran to the wrong maw and died, 15 seconds later the whole alliance wiped, if that does not show you who was carrying the first boss, I do not know what will.Oh am sure, in a group of 24 people you are the only one able to do anything... You an expert on how other classes play at lvl 60 to be able to judge how good or bad someone is doing?Judging from your profile you seem to avoid content that is actually more tuned to higher end gear... So what do you expect exactly? Should really be grateful they put him in DS so you get to fight him rather than a trial judging by that...
There was also the time I successfully pulled off being solo healer on that hardest boss there, the one that tends to be the alliance killer, the one before Diablos. ofc I did little cross healing for that, maybe a swifcast raise on another healer, I stuck to my party, so it inst like i solo healed the full alliance, but solo healing my party on that made me proud. I am not sure if people here find that major or not, but.. I was not trying to sound arrogant or anything. But since you seem to want to call me out on how I feel I did more then my fare share of healing on dun runs, well then there ya go.
In the end, asking for a longer then 1 minute fight should not be a shocking request.

It's not about being tone deaf, inaccurate in advertisement, it just that they tried the community's ideals and it brings frustration not only to the team, but upcoming players in the end. Please don't forget that they attempted to please the community in binding coils, Alexander Midas and Gordias, Steps of Faith................so many that they done, changed and still people continue to have an issue with. It gets the the point where they barely respond to the community on 95% of everything(exaggeration) unless it's absolutely important overall. Then you have people not playing your precious content, and eventually your game, as much as you'd like, if at all. it has to have some appeal. Becoming tone deaf isn't the answer, and I'm sure that is not what they are doing, because it is important to know that this is lazy and inaccurate to what they advertised.

I believe it was placed there to prevent the Proto-Ultima battle from falling into disuse like the Odin Trial did. They mentioned that being a problem before and that they had a plan to prevent it this time. Their plan appears to be inserting Proto-Ultima as an encounter in a Raid.
I kinda wish I could trade 5 weeks worth of heat shielding for the ultima horns. Really hope they do have more of these bosses who randomly show up during 24 man raids though.

Fair enough. Makes sense, too. xDI believe it was placed there to prevent the Proto-Ultima battle from falling into disuse like the Odin Trial did. They mentioned that being a problem before and that they had a plan to prevent it this time. Their plan appears to be inserting Proto-Ultima as an encounter in a Raid.
I could defend him being in Dun Scaith if it was done proper like a bonus boss that appears after you kill the final boss with maybe a %30 chance of showing up or pulling you to his fanfest arena for some reason or other, but a trash mob that can die under a minute just makes me disappointed, maybe for the 1st time playing this game im disappointed because it was something i was looking forward to doing again since NA FanfestI believe it was placed there to prevent the Proto-Ultima battle from falling into disuse like the Odin Trial did. They mentioned that being a problem before and that they had a plan to prevent it this time. Their plan appears to be inserting Proto-Ultima as an encounter in a Raid.
also the 20 ilevel jump people are using to defend how fast he melts is ridiculous, not even unsynched ARR primals die that fast especially from random pugs
Edit: (cause my post somehow got cut in half)
The only reason Odin fell into disuse is because there was 0 incentive to run him more than once for the clear
1) No gear, cant even say it was for glamour cause the sets already exist outside of his trial
2) No mount because they put it on the mogstation
3) No involvement in the MSQ
But its seen alot more use since WT came out cause thats what WT is for, to keep people doing older content

If only Odin had a reward that people really wanted, like a six legged horse.I believe it was placed there to prevent the Proto-Ultima battle from falling into disuse like the Odin Trial did. They mentioned that being a problem before and that they had a plan to prevent it this time. Their plan appears to be inserting Proto-Ultima as an encounter in a Raid.
