Ok just to get things straight.

Did you have 2 characters either on that server or on another server with a similar or same name?

The character that got transferred did you originally make a character that looked like that on that job? The server you were transferring to you said you had made a char there.

When transferring a character from one server to another you automatically have to change the name of that character before you're able to log in on the transferred character. Is there any possibility that you had selected the wrong character by mistake in your haste to get back to playing the game? I know quite a few people that have used the transfer service to go to other servers and back to their starting one and have never heard of their characters appearance or jobs getting re-designed in the process of it.

Also if the character you were wanting to transfer is still on the server it started on like you say it is then that means it wasn't selected for the world transfer and another character was selected to be transferred.

What I am getting from the conversation is that you transferred the wrong character by accident and Square Enix won't not refund your money because the proceedment requires you to check the character you're tranferring and confirm it. I've never heard of getting a randomized re-designed character when using the transfer service and I have used it a few times myself, but if what you're saying is true you might need to provide some sort of proof. The suppor team is only doing their job and there's so much they can do in this situation.

I read the whole convo the OP had with the customer service rep, the OP told him that he names any of his alt chars very similar to each other. So yea in his haste to transfer his char and get back to playing he had to have selected the wrong one if the char he wanted to transfer is still on his original server.

Geez how many alts do you have if you have so many that you didn't realize two have such similar names it merited a second look to be sure you were transferring the correct one?

This is your fault, you're not entitled to a refund on a service that asked "are you sure?" and you said "yes, go ahead."
