Cant find anyone to party with.....

So i just started to play this game again since the current state the game was in. I haven't played since June 2011....I just came back and i noticed alot of people are level 50 now....the starting zones are almost empty. I been looking for people to party with and haven't had any luck. Did most people decide to stay and play the game? What about the ones that left and waited for the game-play to get better? Since the game is technology in a Late Beta will these level 50's be rolled back so everyone can start fresh?

I am very confused as a new player coming back that no one is around to level with. Unless i wait until the Ps3 and xbox 360 version comes out. Since FF14 is very heavily based on partying it's making the game almost unplayable......again. I am very very surprised on how many people i guess stayed, from CEO's leaving and the "We are sorry" letters to an almost new Dev Team, i am abit confused. So are 98% of people at end game already? Does anyone have anything below level 49? Need some advice or help here.

It seems like if you group all the way you can hit 50 in anywhere from a few days to a week (Though I can't say for sure as I'm having the same problem as you), also Powerleveling in this game is broken so I think a lot of people just level with the help of a 50. So for new players it's hard to find a group since everyone has multiple 50s by now. It's great that they don't want 95% of this game's content to be grinding, but with the speed of leveling in groups it's a bit *too* fast and leaves new players SoL.

I can only hope that character search in 1.20 will include a less worthless party search function.
