Not buying the salt at all. Lost a few matches because you gave up mid-matches. Want to be in the top-100, suggest you try harder.

Indeed, I meant the *minions* are available for 300 Feast kills and/or 300 Feast assists. I had read elsewhere it was the mounts & got overly excited. Unfortunately it's just the minions.
Its okay i guess?
Minion collectors got upset and at least got a way to obtain them now.
Maybe mount / gear collectors need to get upset too![]()

If you have the spare time to play 1000 matches and couldn't crack Diamond...honestly what was your win rate, like 30%? There are tons in the top 100 with a sub 50% win rate. I played tank only (20-30 min queues more often than not, even in primetime), the whole season I could at best play 2-3 matches a night, I even ran into the wonderful random losing streak because I would get matched with the same shitty healer, or that healer would suddenly switch to melee for better queues and be even worse. So I lose 10+ matches in a row that night.
Even with all of that being said, I busted my ass to get 300~ matches. Not to be a complete dick, but if you can't hit top 100 after 1000 matches...maybe you don't deserve it? I know that's hard to accept.
darn i am stuff and mount collector i am upset XD
PvP, like in most successful competitive PvP games, is more about skills than anything else. Skill that is only developed with time, dedication, introspection and feedback. As long as the playing field is normalized for everyone this fact is specially true (not saying that it is 100% for this game, specially with cheaters, wintraders, lag/distance disadvantage and imbalance etc.).
Consider that a lot of those people with less than 200 games in FFXIV might have played other similar games in the past. They might have spent way more hours than you do, and thus less than 200 games to get diamond or top 100 is the result of that skill obtained with that dedication. In my case I got to TOP 100 as a BLM with 285 games. I wish to have played way more as I find PvP in this game to be very fun. However I couldn't do more because my work is very mentally exhausting. With that said I am one of those players with a lot of previous experience. I got Gladiator (similar to TOP 100 in FFXIV) 2 times in WoW which PvP is very similar. I'm pretty sure I've ended up with thousands of games during my playtime of WoW arenas. And let me tell you at the beginning I was the same as you. I played an irresponsible amount of hours to develop the skill that I have today, and even then I feel that I'm not that good yet.
So don't feel down. Your countless games have made you better than just a few games or no games. Use that to your advantage for the next season. Keep improving, and seek to fix what you do wrong. You are many steps ahead than before, so everything is not for nothing.
By the way, I would recommend you to stick to a single job for as long as you can and try to master it. Seeing as many situations as possible with a single job will allow you to develop patterns to use to win games. I believe changing jobs all the time increases the level of complexity. I don't say this because in this game all I have is a BLM (in previous games I have had many other classes and I did the same anyways in FFXIV I just don't have enough time/will to level other things), I say this because this is what has worked for me.

If one were to eliminate the 100+ games that were intentionally thrown for one reason or another, one could theoretically get a higher score in a shorter amount of games and time. Just stuff to consider for S4.
Try doing the 3 loss rule-- if you lose 3 in a row stop for the day. That way you don't get stuck with match throwers
Truth is, if you play MOST of your matches as your main it just isn't good enough. You have to play almost all of your matches as your main to meet your goal. Season 1 I played almost 1000 matches but only 300 (?) as my main. Meaning 700 matches were literally just for fun and I wasn't expecting to win to the same degree.
...But if you can't make even Top 100 with 1000 matches then there's a problem on your side. It's not a "middle finger from the game". Someone's just said you give up mid-match and just throw it, so why make a forum post when it was your fault you ended up where you were? People can make Top 100 with as little as ~150 matches.
The first path to actually growing your skills and getting your goal is understanding your skill level and why/how things go wrong. Just learn from this seasons experience and try again.
Enjoy the karma.
