And to your second comment, it doesn't matter what sub money goes to. As long as the servers are paid for and they are providing monthly updates, that's all that we are entitled to for our sub money. What they do with any extra money is completely at their discretion, and not any of our business.

Monthly updates is the issue. While you can't measure the update. Maybe we don't feel the update is full enough. Then we see resources used else where. I am fine with a company making money. The question is "Do we feel like we got a solid game experience (update) with our monthly sub."

Again all this is arbitrary. A patch with lots of gathering might be awesome for some and not others. But you say we can judge on the updates we get. Seems like a few people feel the two dungeon update isn't enough.

What I don't like about it primarily is; I like to dance around and what not with friends. It's a social game and emotes are a social thing. Then we get stuff like this and then it turns into a situation where it feels like you are missing out because all of the reindeer didn't invite you to their reindeer games, except you could get in it just requires a low down payment of 7 $ each :^) . I wouldn't even be that miffed if they were like 2$ but 7$ is up and over.

The problem to me is not being forced or not to buy this, it's to understand why this is added to the mogstation and not in game directly ? I'd like to understand where the money from my sub is going if SE needs to make an emote 7$ and exclusive to the mogstation. Are they broke or something ? I can not believe that the money I give every month can only bring something like Proto Ultima or a basic Anima weapon step. Well... I can if we consider that an emote is really worth 7$, but I doubt it. Joke aside, the mogstation is starting to be a problem to me, for the obvious reason that I can't understand why, in a game I bought and pay every month to play and have updates, a part of the content, optional or not, is locked behind another paywall. Sounds not fair for the customers in my opinion. But I'm not really suprised, considering what SE is doing on all its games since a few years.

They lost their shirt on the original version of this game. They raided their general game funds, robbed Peter and Paul and I would not be shocked to hear that the game is still in the red overall or closer to break even than any of us realize.

Or you can choose to believe that the upper management of SE are stashing all of our money in offshore accounts for their retirement.

I can understand putting past events items on mog station, but new emote/glamour/mount that goes straight to mogstation while not giving active sub a chance to obtain them in game is just pure greed, and whats even worst is that most item are solely single character, or if u have alt or future alt u will have to buy it again.

Yuuuuup... This is getting ridiculous. I mean, I knew it would only get worse when they first introduced the cash shop but still.

It's just pay for vanity and glamour. You don't have to buy those glamours, and it doesn't hurt anyone, really.

As for where the money is going, I'm just going to put these in but please tell me otherwise that I'm wrong. I would like to know what others would think and I don't discourage other possibilities of where else money would be going.

So with that said money to: maintain servers, systems and data centers, where are data servers are and there's 3, paying their employees: analysis & developing team and music team, project creators, site runners, cross platform services, advertisement & maraketing, conventions, equipment expenses, promotions, expanding data and memory, customer service care such as GM's or loadstone, physical goods, demand labor work for this game in general, experts & specialists help, hell im sure Nobuo isn't cheap either... Licensing, patents... etc etc

The problem I have with it is the price. I get the idea of adding extra stuff but a lot of times the cost is too high.

For example, why is 6 retainers (required to function as a crafter right now) costs more then a legacy sub?

Why is an emote 7 dollars? or a mount or minions 5 dollars that was free?

or dyes (item you can only use once and got more scarce in game) 1 dollar each? a mount for 30 dollars? kitty ears for 40?

AT THE VERY LEAST! make mounts/glamor/emotes/ minions account wide, not 7 dollar emote for one character, wth

Issue! How would it throw THIS game off balance? it is not ffxi, in ffxi I would agree, in ffxiv, I do not see an issue of balance of saying "Here you want a 275 relic? 40 dollars"
