The cash grab stuff is stuff to be used outside the game, fanfests, physical merch all that stuff.
In game stuff should be obtainable in game, especially if its in the games files already.

I guess I've played too much Korean MMO in the past but I am happy with whatever that isn't pay2win tbh. FFXIV isn't as cash grab as other MMO seriously.
Right. I heard there's a leveling potion and MSQ potion that will be very likely coming to a kupo store near you in the future. While I agree with the reasoning why we should get those (for new players or alt job/account), I simply disagree with the mindset of "I'm ok with something so long it doesn't affect me.... yet".
Step 1: Buy spine drops
Step 2: Fight morbols in Dravanian Hinterlands
Step 3: wait until morbol is almost dead, then get hit by it's breath attack and finish killing it
Step 4: use spine drops
Step 5: teleport to town
Step 6: change to low level character and let dots kill you
Have fun!

I'm fine with frivolous glamour things (emotes/glamour gear) being made available solely through the cash shop, with others available through events. They're "extra".
There are other things that should be fleeting, like fanfest items or Feast rewards, because it supports the event/content it's related to. Jumping in after the fact and grabbing something doesnt build the "success" of the event/content.

I think it's funny that a company that hosts an MMORPG, where thousands of players can meet, mingle, and mince together in a single world, would be worried about people doing "obscene" things with their characters/emotes. When I heard one emote animation was changed because of the whole obscenity thing, I laughed. I laughed even harder when they gave monks the ability to "twerk" for their /bstance. Not to be lewd here, but, um, the first thing I thought when I saw my character do that was, "I'm gonna twerk in front of someone and make it look like they're sticking it to me!"
SE, you're gonna take money from sick-minded people like me. Just let it happen and, unless people violate your ToS, forgeddabouddit!

I like this emote, and if the profit they make off the mogstation went to things like increasing the housing wards, I'd probably tolerate the $7 fee. As things are right now, I don't really know what areas of the game SE is spending their profit on, so the price tag is displeasing. I'd also prefer if the emote isn't limited to one character only.

Usually I wouldn't complain but... $7? and only for ONE character. Yeah no.

And Balmung must be rejoicing.
hmmm backflip is already in the game it's monks battle stance. Even if it is slightly different it wouldn't of been much of a change./Backflip is likely there because they expect a fairly good return on investment considering how much work it required to develop.
