The lala male playdead pose looks like they fell asleep over actually dying.

I've seen lalas doing them in idylshire and it's adorable and I saw a male aura do it and super lame...
the mystery of not knowing what it will look like is a bit off putting

I didn't enjoy shelling out $14 for the new emotes, but I did it anyway because I'm a sucker for emotes. I'd use a more risqué term than sucker, but there are rules here. I lied... I did enjoy it. Judging from the sheer number of people I saw forming dead piles and doing backflips yesterday, SE is making bank on this and will see it as a huge success. It means we'll probably see more of it. Fortunately it seems we're getting those WITH a new holiday emote as well and just after getting the dote emote from vday. For now I'm cautiously optimistic that the cash shop is incentivizing SE to give us more emotes, rather than just shifting content to the cash shop. Maybe pdead and backflip wouldn't exist without the cash shop. It helps me sleep better to think that anyway.

I'm ok with the cash shop as long as it stays cosmetic.

Well done SE, you realized i wont pay shit for glamour so your testing the waters on emotes. I REALLY want these emotes but I still think this cash shop is bogus and you guys are greedy as hell. The players come up with some good ideas and you turn them into cash shop items.

Well since I'm on the verge of breaking down and paying you $ for "optional items" just like everything else in the game thats an optional item but paid for through my sub... Why cant you finally give us the fenrir bike or an FF8 Hoverboard like the one zell had.

I might actually care more about the cash shop emotes and glamour if you guys were transparent with the funds and costs for creation but you guys don't tell us anything. We want to support the game, not just your pockets.

In their defence though(and don't get me wrong, I am a bit disappointed too as I have over 8 characters....), why is it that people are okay with paying for the backflip on the basis that it took extra work but not okay with the /playdead one when that uses entirely new poses as well?

It's not that I'm OK with paying for the back flip, it's that laying down is such a basic emote that we've been asking for since the beginning of arr and we've got nothing but excuses from SE for not including it, and it's just gross of them to shake down rpers and general emote enthusiast for a pose that comes stock in even the sleaziest f2p games.
