Questions you don't think SE team will answer.

So some threads or comments keep popping. So I thought it would be amusing to gather some of the questions you don't think have been answered. If some one has actually seen an answer feel free to link the Live Letter or interview.

One of the original ones that pops back up onto the front page is 1.o butts. Now that they are officially moving on from ps4 they could have more options.

Why were players not given more retainers and instead charged for them? Not all just an increase to cover the increase in game related items.

Why have you continued with open world housing?

Why have you not increased forum post size over 1000 characters?

Why do you continue region locked items when all items are made by the japanese dev team?

Why do you answer mostly fluff questions now and avoid pressing issues? Creating blame Balmung live letters, which is a said affect not the main point.

Are certain features being purposely restricted or issues neglected for the sake of revenue from retainer fees and cash shops?

Is such revenue actually reinvested into the game in such a way as to produce greater improvement to the game's enjoyability than would fixing these causative issues or implementing their solution QoL improvements?

I can answer these myself

1) Yes. Additional retainers for purchase is exhibit A. The cash shop is primarily glamour, which would be defensible if this game was free to play. "Blizzard did it first!" doesn't make it excusable. Content is either being developed for cash shop, or being moved from planned in-game to cash shop, with dev time being wasted on cash shop content either way.

2) Funds are only now being given to Yoshi's team for Stormblood, now that profits from XIV aren't being funneled into SE's other projects. This excuses all of the shortcuts Yoshi had to take throughout Heavensward since SE was barely giving them money. What was it, patch 2.2 where Yoshi was on stage begging for funds?

Like it's been done. They've replied to it in a jokey way because they can't take it seriously. Just drop it already.

It's the PS3 version that is being suspended, not PS4. Also that tired old meme has no basis in reality as design choices in the game were decided by taking into account the need to make the game accessible by PC players with a wide range of system set ups (including players with a bucket-of-bolts $300 department store special PC that they bought to send emails and download funny Youtube videos - the game still will run under Windows XP after all. Console 'limitations' are a myth.

Extra retainers were always going to be a paid service - that was clear way back in 1.0.

Blame the spam on the Beta Test forum around Phase 3 for that - before then the 1.0 forum had no such posting restrictions. But the huge influx of new testers that were a little too zealous in their posting dragged the Beta forum down into a quagmire of "Hello World!" posts and flaming, forcing SE to implement similar restrictions there.

And when the Beta forum was finally put out of it's misery when ARR was launched, and the 1.0 forum became the ARR forum, SE also implemented the same posting restrictions here based on your character's level in the game. "This is why we can't have nice things" I guess.

There's no way that's true. XP has been off extended support for almost 3 years now. I know SE has made some terrible decisions, but they wouldn't do something like that.........right?
