Suggestion and Request: Cross-Datacenter Party Finder

Thank you so much for implementing the cross-world party finder. I now get to play together (at least for some things) with friends that play on other worlds in the Aether datacenter. It would be nice if it would also allow me to play with my friend on the Chaos datacenter as well, though.

I'm aware that this would pose technical challenges and need to be prioritized with other dev tasks, but I'm confident the challenges could be overcome and that many would want this over other features planned for implementation.

I also tried to search for a pre-existing thread suggesting this but strangely did not find one. So just "like" if you would also enjoy having this feature. =)

I would like to see this but it's going to more than likely take a long time for them to develop this. Plus they more than likely won't be working on this until after they finish adding everything for cross world pf that they have planned.

The first technical challenge would be instancing content across data centers in the first place, you're basically asking them to turn all the data centers into one giant data center.

while the idea is nice, i doubt we'd see something like this anytime soon... likely near the end of ff14's life cycle maybe. the problem i can see is that, unless it's restricted to regional-only, it will be very clunky to have EU-US-JP datacentres to join together for instancing because it will be unfair for one or more of those entering the instance off-region if the said instance is hosted on a particular region, like say JP and EU playing together and the instance is hosted in JP datacentre, EU will be at a very huge disadvantage. and we all know how yoshi-p and dev team strive to make the playing experience as even and balanced as possible for everyone.

that said, if it's restricted to region-only cross-datacentre, i'd love such a feature and i don't see why they can't implement such
