Stop Giving the "Need" Command for Drop Gear in Dungeons to Higher Geared Players!

GC seals are a thing. So is glamor.
That and I greed everything until I see someone need on something they don't need. Then all bets are off.

Personally I need/greed then desynth all drops I get from dungeons for the gill. If not that, then I trade for GC seals like most people have stated. If you want something, let people know. I'll gladly drop any piece you want if you ask nicely.

this post makes no sense at all, i mean as a tank full 270 I go into a dungeon an if a tank gear drops i will need it, i just can give it to you for the sake of it, you will stop using it maybe in 2 runs too, craft some gear or buy it with whatever stones we have now, i earn that gear, why should i give it to you?
I will need in everything i can an i will greed on everything too!

No thanks! If Im in a dungeon due "roulete" I take everything I can and/or want!
On higher dungeons mostly for Guild Seals to buy Retainer coins! o_o

If you need a particular type of gear, you should run it as a job that can roll Need on that type of gear. There's heaps of ways that "higher-geared players" can use dungeon drops, and we still put in the effort to clear the dungeon.

I have a friend that collects all dungeon sets and thanks to bad RNG runs some of them forever until he get the last piece. Why exactly is his need way less than yours? Especially since he probably run it more often than you ever do? Also there are more ways for you to get your upgrade. 1: Ask the group nicely if you can have it, most of the time people will not roll on it. 2: Go as the class that you want the gear

Even if everyone can only greed on an item there is still a high chance that you wont get it. Also what if someone else also need it like you, maybe even more? Will you then not roll on it?

I once have gotten yelled at in a 24 man raid. I rolled onto a bard item sometime after the boss died and just a bit later a person asked us if they can have it because they need it on their bard. I wanted to click on "pass" since I already rolled (I liked the glamour look) but that person also rolled at that time so I could not change it anymore..and I got it..He was really angry and saying how I dont even have a bard at that level..I just said that he should have told this a little earlier. Thankfully it was on the last boss thus I could just leave..I mean I truly waited a time after the boss and he really asked much much later.

In another dungeon someone asked from the beginning if they can have the summoner items so I said "sure" and passed on everything that was for the class. People really just need to ask..but please ask at the beginning and not after everyone already rolled.

I'm not obliged to check your search info, and that of the other two/six players, as soon as we enter the dungeon, and ask nicely what the ilv of all those off classes is in every slot. The vast, VAST majority of people will happily pass if you just ask nicely for gear.

I mean, I once saw caster gloves drop in 10s and they were won by someone without any caster classes unlocked, when I could have used them for my blm alt. Are we going to remove the option for people without the class to greed, once need has been ruled out? It's silly.

I've rolled Need on non-upgrades maybe like three times ever, and it was for glamour. I've gone into dungeons on tank and asked nicely for aiming upgrades and 90% of the time, people have passed. Even my partner who's levelling desynths through 200+ and Needs on everything she can see would happily pass if someone said they wanted it for actual gearing purposes.

People are hung up the the fact it's called "Need" and not something long the lines of first choice. Healer gear dropped? Okay, the healer gets first call if they want to take it or pass it along to others.
