I mentioned to a friend that I wished there were some emotes for things like "sorry" or "thank you" and I was surprised when they wondered how those could be made into an emote. To me it seemed obvious to use sign language as inspiration.
But that got me thinking. Which variation of "thank you" (for example) should be used? There are plenty of different languages to choose from. Asl is the one I most familiar with, and I know thank you in asl is similar to the jsl and bsl sign, but maybe there's a different sign that would work better for a distinct emote animation?
What are your thoughts on this? What signs would you like to see as an emote? What already existing emotes could be altered to work?
