MMORPG's aren't strictly RPG's. They're multiplayer games. I find the stories I have from playing with real people are always more interesting than what the writers have given us. It doesn't help that, over the years, I found most JRPG storylines to be full of cliche and retarded angsty teen drama.
Still. It's weird to me. It's like buying a comic book and only looking at the pictures. Yeah, the art is an important part, but what's the point?
