I hope it's not too late but I would prefer to use ramuh minion or sephirot minion when they add one than their egis.

I'd like to be able to use the 8 Sprites myself. I miss those from FFXI. I'd have hoped for at least having minions of the 8 sprites, but minions are so small that I think it'd ruin the effect.
You know, these:

Oh I loved these little guys! If SE has no intention of adding new Egi (by designs I mean, not glamour) then if they just recolored the effects to every element I could see them going ham with all the glamour options. Every elemental variation, all the Egi they've made but not released (like Ramuh, they have one for him).
Although I'd be a little sad they didn't add more functional options, having played FFXI SMN it was cool to have many options (but to be honest some were more popular to use than others.. so besides the concept I guess in balance its not as important to have many options, they still have a few core combat themes they could include in a few more designs though but not many).
Still.. I've always loved the way the little elementals look, its cute and magical. I'd rather have these then the booger and potato lol, Ifrit Egi is alright imo.

You have a good point, apart from Titan-Egi (the best one) the other Egis have always been rubbish and to think the Producer wants to bring more trash to the game is just unacceptable!...
Where's your imagination Dev Team!?... I would like to see the likes of Garuda from Final Fantasy XI and even better, if the size of the Egi is a limitation then make it an entire character and problem solved!...

I believe part of the size thing was that Yoshida felt it diminished the power and majesty of the actual primal if the player could summon something similar.. Which I 100% disagree with but I think that was the main reason. Of course players should not be able to call forth a 1:1 scale egi, that's like 5-7 characters worth of space!! But.. why not like FFXI or something akin to that? All the summoners in FF past have had these sexy summons and FFXIV's is so derpy lol.
Also just for those saying it's a scale issue I'd have to ask why does it seem to work so well in other MMOs then? WoW Warlock has a number of 1.5x to 2x the size of the player (not gnome, Human/Tauren), and Hunter has a few 1x that goes to like 2.5x with Bestial Wrath, then again you have games like Aion too - it's easily shown that size (within the limits of not being 5x lol) is completely acceptable (and reasonable reference-able that in all FF versions, FFXIV's summons (summoner side) are visually the weakest).

Even Midlander-sized Egi's would be welcome I imagine, especially if they looked a bit more like their respective Primals.
Still hoping for the Elemental Sprites and Light and Dark. Would be interesting if they were added as a Cross-Class Caster DPS skill with the upcoming revamps as a tiny extra source of DPS. Nothing you'd get a pet bar over or anything. Nor an addition to the party list either. Just there, next to you, attacking strictly what you attack.

Personally I'm not that bothered by the size of the Egi's, although I do believe there is plenty of room for them to work with before they should even consider the idea that they might be too big. What I dislike most of all is the lack of resemblance to the associated primal. I would be much happier if Garuda-Egi looked more like this image.
