I was thinking on use the phone app. But I only read bad things. For example, you account can be blocked if you change your IP. I have dynamic IP, so my security token won't work every time I change IP (like rebooting router for example). I appreciate the extra security, but this should work in another way. People can lost their code or have problems with ISP and that. The system still not think in that. I am not using it, despite I want, because I don't want to get my account block for one of this causes.

That with blocking the account if you change your IP is if you don't use the security pin. It get unlocked again with changing the pasword.

Regardless if you use the phone app or the security token, please remember to save that emergency removal password. I cannot stressed enough how important that is. Heck, I'll even go as far and say to copy down a physical copy and have a soft copy saved in your computer. And to be on the safe side, copy-paste the emergency removal password directly from the SE webpage. For some reason the last time I had to use it the webpage didn't accept the password I typed manually for some reason. Luckily for me I remembered I had an encrypted soft copy that I pulled directly from the webpage a long time ago.

Where we can find that emergency removal password? It has been a long time so idk if I still have or I have saved somewhere so finding again would be appreciated just in case :x

I got my first security token when they came out on FFXI which I used on 2 POL accounts and 1 ffxiv service account, after a lot of login on both accounts and being thrown off ffxiv and ffxi, it came to the point there it took 2 mins to spit out a number so I just swiched it to my ffxiv ARR one.
the next one after a number of logins and being thrown off ffxiv and ffxi the ffxiv ARR one again started taking 2 mins to spit out a number so I though screw it and switched to the phone app which i'm using on 2 ffxiv service accounts and 1 pol account (i still have the second POL account)
