Wow, spoilers, jeez! *throws out 3DS*.....I kid, no one who has time for these forums hasn't played the Bravely series.

As much as this might actually make me think about playing SCH for more than three minutes at a time, I feel like there should be a higher priority of resources toward a third fairy for DPS/solo questing, especially with the eventual separation of SMN and SCH.

I like the idea of glamoring sch's fairies and being able to customize them, some if the pics the OP had posted look great and I would love to see sch's running around and not all having the same looking fairy out.

The igi glamor is a good idea too, with the way the game was designed there is no point to making a whole bunch of different igi's. The igi's basicly consist of a tank class, a melee dps class, and a ranged caster class based on that there really isn't any elemental weaknesses/strengths in the game otherwise using the fire spell against ifrit would heal him. Sch's fairy would essentially be the healer class for arcanist while smn's igi's are the tank, melee and caster/ranged dps.

If there was a male fairy, I would name him Helios, since that's Eos and Selene's brother in mythology.

Yes please! I'd love to be able to change the appearance of my Fae and I'd jump at the chance to have a healing Carbuncle (They already have casting animations from Emerald Carbuncle). We already have a system in place now, no reason for it not to be extended to the other pet using jobs!

I think people are forgetting:

Lilly, our fairy, has a distinct personality, unlike most other fairies conjured by other scholars. We'd have to ask her if she wants to change her appearance.

Well, we already have the Anima story line in which we create a living being, giving it a distinct personality of it's own and then it asks us to push it to it's limits because it wants to make itself useful (Referenced in the quest line, as well as in Ardashir's Journal). We even go as far as giving it it's own body (In the form of the minion) aside from it's physical appearance as a weapon.

Not to mention previously the Nymians originally used the Fae as nothing more than messengers before they found out that the Fae were capable of doing much, much more (Referenced in the Scholar entry in the Lore Book), so that could lend some beleivability that even the Fae don't entirely mind as long as they're being useful to the Scholar. ^^

That's something that the devs can resolve for the Single Player Lore vacuum for the WoL.

For those of us whose characters exist outside of the Single Player Lore Vacuum, Roleplayers (Like myself) and even people who want to the characters to be their own, whose characters aren't the Warrior of Light, whose characters wouldn't make sense to all have Lilly as their patron Fae, and due to the lore, wouldn't make sense to all be Scholars despite a shed load of caches from Nym being shaken loose during the Calamity. Being able to have more options to customise, not only the physical appearance of our characters, but that of our pets is important, it gives our characters a sense of identity and their own individuality. Even the advertisements for this game boast the levels character customisation as being one of their major selling points (Think I remember seeing this point in the recruit a friend email.)

I know the Roleplaying community makes up for a small portion of the player base, but SMN getting the chance to even glamour their egi's into Carbuncles was a massive boon for them. It gives them the opportunity to play the character they want. SCH's and hopefully MCH's should be given that option as well.

If people want healing Carbuncles, there lore already states that Carbuncles take on the aspect of the gemstone used to summon them, and IRL we attribute certain gemstones to healing (Like Jade, Amethyst and Aquamarine), if people want Male Fae, there's nothing to state that the Nymians didn't have male Fae.

We have the system in place already, doesn't hurt to take advantage of it and extend it to another job, and as an RPer and a Carbuncle lover who plays healing/support jobs/classes primarily, I sincerely hope that SE do give us those customisation options in future.
