A tank who is playing their job "right" means that they are in tank stance, mitigating incoming damage, holding hate.Man...people are pretty sensitive in this thread lol. Kind of funny to see people talk about "15+ years playing MMO's and I've never seen a DPS pull." Everquest which set the paradigm for MMOs and even the predecessor of the current game we play forced DPS to pull mobs for the party, those games fall in the 15 year span folks...either you played the MMO "Sims" or you were just a lazy player in real MMOs.
Sandy, the communication in this game sucks and literally 90% of the community are lazy bums who "think" they are playing their job right, but they are normally the reason that the run is taking longer than what is considered average run time. It doesn't get better lol, you either conform into laziness or get better than your party. If you choose to get better than your party you become the 10%...the people who actually know how to play their roles and aren't bothered by small stuff like DPS pulling.
A tank that is swapping to DPS stance is NOT "right" for their "job", because they are being a "DPS".

The group may say/think you don't know how to tank lol...

Luckely it rarely happens to me. I think I can count the times on 2 hands really. Maybe more. Not like it's something I want to remember.
I've been very lucky compared to all the stories I read about.

Your logic just justifies my assumptions. Overly sensitive, unable to play their job using their entire jobs tool kit because of laziness or just plain neglect, and putting way too much emphasize on the "difficultly" of non-savage content...You, as well as others in this thread are literally answering the OP's question with a big fat, "No, it doesn't get better, because i don't want to talk to you and I really just want to let you die!" OP asked if the communication aspect gets better in this game, I've told him that it does not because people in this game hit the kick button faster than typing, "Hey man, can you stop pulling please. Its really annoying me." Simple communication skills allude the people who stay stagnant in the lower-performing 90% of this game. (Probably one of the main reason the 90% avoid VOIP like teamspeak and discord like the plague even though its available on smart phones, computers and laptops)
Some times I wish that this wasn't the case, that a players want to play using their entire toolkit like stance dancing etc etc. But this is not the case, I am just need to glad that my static is what keeps me playing, their effort, skill, and pure enthusiasm for performing their best at all times gives me hope that other players do the same. Sadly I won't find many people in this thread with that mindset.
That pretty much goes both ways though - currently OP is well within those 90%, knowing that they're behaviour caused other to remove them from the dungeon instead of using the chat any asking "Hey, can we pull more?" they continued to pull while remaining silent. You, as well as others in this thread are literally answering the OP's question with a big fat, "No, it doesn't get better, because i don't want to talk to you and I really just want to let you die!" So my answer would actually be: The communication aspects gets better when you make an effort to communicate. A lot of times its simply not needed, but we all should keep in mind that dungeons are done with a team and are a teameffort, so if you want to change the current tactic, communicating that would be a better idea than just running ahead and doing so.
(I also understood the OP more that they were asking if masspull becomes a thing in later dungeons to which the answer is: yes, usually, but still done by the tank)
Nah actually that wasn't what I was saying at all. You misunderstood me at pretty much every back and forth comment. But it's cool - other people did understand my point, and answered constructively.
Fixed number three for you. Not a 14 video but amusing to all healers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMxW36WbW6MDon't forget several of the more important DPS Commandments. These are time honored and true across ALL games.
1) I shall not move ahead of the tank.
2) I shall not initiate a fight; only the tank will.
3) I shall enjoy standing in the fire.
4) I shall reduce my aggro if I am outpacing the tank.
Thank you for fully understanding what my actual question was. You, as well as others in this thread are literally answering the OP's question with a big fat, "No, it doesn't get better, because i don't want to talk to you and I really just want to let you die!"
