And you're right. I think I have decided that it will come down to accepting I may get kicked some times. Statistically, it's probably at around 5% of my groups. It's just I haven't experienced this before in any other mmo so I was venting a bit.

I understand the frustration since it is something you weren't used to, but its just super hard to swim against the current. Most of the community here is pretty uniformly decided that tanks should be the one to pull mobs/bosses and they have good reasons (which I agree with) to back up why that should be the normal operating procedure.

My suggestion would be not to accept you might be kicked, but to just stop pulling as a DPS job. It isn't going to speed up your run very much to be worth getting kicked over or worth messing your team up.

Most players are used to the tank pulling and at higher levels if you continue this you might cause wipes. I mean I know you said you attempt to judge whether or not your group is capable first...but there might be occasions where you judge wrong.
