Aether brethren: Not a salt thread, just an FYI thread. There are a lot of parties up in PF for things that should only be on your server, e.g. RP, houses for sale, looking for specific people, etc. Just a reminder, when you create a Party Finder, make sure you are checking the "Recruit Members Across Data Center" off for any non-data center related party requests. Another FYI after a conversation with a Balmungian. A character had put a cross-server pf up for a WTB because they thought it was the only way to be seen by everyone (or at least first). This is not true. When you create a server-only party, it shows up in the main list for everyone in your server, just not in other worlds. I wish this was communicated better, but it wasn't.

I tried to put a PF up once for a fate and it did.. something? to do the data center thing.
I had to break the party because there is no option to change it to server only? and have a friend take care of making the PF because i got no clue what it did.

Yes, make sure the "Recruit Members Across Data Center" is not filled in and that will make it your server only.

I know that some people have characters/alts across several servers to play with different people.
So maybe there could be some use to list a house sell for an example. That way someone from another server will know that there is a house on sale on a server they got another character on.
Atleast that's what I think.

Yet people still does it.
And if I remember, Yoshida said himself that he is OK if people sell them for the buying price. Been some time since I followed any of the house buy/sell talk so not sure what's official anymore.

To be clear: saying you are selling a house is actually against the ToS as fraud as you cannot guarantee the purchase of the house. All you can guarantee is relinquishing it. If someone does report you, you actually have grounds against you for punishment. Just because other people jump off a bridge doesn't mean it's smart, or good for your health, to do it as well.

I was just talking from what I knew, which might've been somewhat outdated.
Back then if I remember it was OK to sell a house if you like moved server or something, for the same amount that you bought it.
