    Do you want a character stamina system ? (2.0)

    System name : No idea but for now in this thread lets call it : Camping System (CS)

    Type of CS:

    There are 2 type:

    Player CS: Buy from NPC (have to buy, cant craft or get as drop) : 50k/each Duration 1h
    *Addition: Player can keep the CS system alive(inrease CS duration) by use "supply items" inside the CS area. Sell for 500 gil/each at the same NPC*

    City/Camp CS: In every city & every camp


    How does CS work ?

    Player place the CS at the spot he/she desire and stand in the area effect of CS and the Stamina Gauge will increase
    *can not share with player outside party*


    How does Stamina Bar work ?

    120% (Well Rest ability) : Increase Character Stats by 20% (STR,DEX,VIT,INT,MND,PIE)

    100% (Normal Status): Nothing inrease

    70% (Tired Stage 1): Reduce Character Stats by 20%

    50% (Tired Stage 2): Reduce Character Stats by 50%

    0% (Exhaust): Here is the point where your character will not be able to deal any DMG, and Reduce Character Stats by 100%

    When will the stamina gauge reduce ?

    When the player begin to hit the mobs/other player, the gauge will begin to reduce and will stop when player are out of combat


    Q&A

    Is the system a punishment for Player who grind or dungeon ?

    The system give the player & party bonus in stats increase so it is a give and take


    How will this system effect Guild level ?

    Player will be able to "rest" every time, they going back to camp for new quest, so it will not have any effect


    Why do we need this system ?

    Add in reality feeling into the game where the character can become exhaust in after long time combat.

    Will this system effect DoH or DoL ?

    This system is for DoW and DoM, DoH and DoL will not have any effect

    Is this a gil sink system ?

    Yes, it is a gil sink system with "give and take"

    note: where this system come from is not something we ll discuss in here so please do not talk about other game and remember to be nice to each other


    edit: For ppl that think this is a system that prevent you from EXP, please re-read the post and give it a though before vote & reply


    edit 2: Because of to many ppl mis-understand the idea, I ll say it out here:

    1. This system dont prevent you from exp because the "stamina gauge" wont take long to refill, that s why the CS Duration have only 1h (if I suggest that you cant play at all, I wont suggest the "player CS", think about it)

    2. This system is mainly for 30+ party

    3. No you dont spend 50k/h, you spend 50k for the first CS, and you later keep it alive by add in supply that cost 500 gil


    4. that mean if you always have CS with you, your bonus stat will always be 120%

    5. from 120% to 70% will be 2h of hitting or being hit (while in combat)

    The idea isn't too bad, but the fact that its just purchasable from an NPC sucks.

    Give it to DoH imo. A little box that emmits a glow or something.

    ... Would this be optional? Because I have to agree, this sounds too much like the fatigue system that was removed because nobody liked it.

    I do. But IMO it does not fit thif NES-like FF...too complex. Maybe we should suggest it to Hello Kitty online since it's a much more complex MMO.

    I suggested a similar mechanics a while ago to them...when they first announced the removal of stamina system. IMO it not only adds realism to the game but also would add strategy. My suggestion (part of it) was rewritten at my blog...just search "stamina gauge" at lodestone if you feel curious about what i suggested. But mine was an automated regeneration mechanics, like the original stamina system...not gil sink.

    Aha, because not being able to fight or craft or gather AT ALL and therefore not getting exp until we are not "tired" anymore is nothing like the fatigue system we thankfully got rid of..
