Not necessarily. If anything its a chance to revitalize 50 content (and soon, 60 content) by updating those roulettes to reward the 2nd most current tomestone (which would be Lore right now). Do that and you'd find people running those quite a bit more often I imagine.
people (including myself) have asked for this since i90 was the level cap. i've given up because the devs are not going to cheapen other currency types by allowing a conversion.
I'd still prefer to see any daily/weekly caps gone in favour of monthly. It allows for more varied gameplay, rather than the schedule of "have to do A, B, C today or will lose X, Y Z". Nothing stopping people from sticking to the same schedule if they like, but better for those that can't log in every day, or are travelling for a week or so, or just like to mix it up - spend a day crafting, then another doing some beast tribes, another collecting lore, or farming whatever. The caps won't change, it would just be more flexible and player-friendly.
The caps are in place to keep you coming back every week. People talking about "the stress of trying to cap" may need to take a break from the game for a bit. This shouldn't be stressing. You can cap by only doing expert roulette once a day. Not a lot of time or effort there. I'm usually all about QoL improvements bit this just seems like people are asking for a handout.
Why every week? The subscriptions are monthly. How is doing the same amount of work for the same reward, a "handout"? How is expecting to get some kind of reward for the content you do a "handout"?. I'm not one that stresses and just does whatever I feel like - sometime cap tomes, sometimes not. sometimes cap scrips, sometimes not. I'm not losing sleep over it. The silly part is you get people that put in the same hours - just not on a strictly daily/weekly basis - end up with less reward for it.
Good luck with queue times if the cap was monthly. There are usually 2 types of people. Those who get their goal completed waay ahead of time and those who wait till the last second. This would make weeks 2 and 3 very unfun (especially for dps roles). While weeks 1 and 4 of said month would probably be very busy.
I guess I don't have an issue with "losing scrips/tomes". When I cap with my fighting class I switch to gathering and then crafting. When the week is done I feel very fulfilled because I covered all the bases to their fullest and then I moved on.
you're assuming everyone would want to cap a particular thing in a particular order, or indeed want to do everything at once before moving onto the next thing. Some might, sure, but some won't. If it's more flexible, there's less pressure to do it NOW. "Weeklies" already skew queue times anyway - the queue times are much shorter beginning of the week than at the end. Plus, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from keeping to your regular schedule if you like it that way. I don't mind the weekly caps so much as it does give you some flexibility at least - but the daily ones really need to go.
