No tears here. I just think it's a dumb choice. Usually when I think of DLC, I think of things related to the game or at least a series of games created by the same company. When I think of Final Fantasy, I don't think of a stealth ninja costume from a totally unrelated game that was made by a totally unrelated company. They may as well toss in the Spetsnaz costume from the new COD while they're at it.
Why couldn't they have created an original costume that heralded back to a previous entry... hmmmm, Cloud's Sword? I'll bet that would sell and it would at least remain pertinent to the Final Fantasy crowd. They could have made a cool looking ninja costume that's called Shadow's Shinobi. There's a huge list of possibilities, and it's dumb that they would choose Ezio's costume when they have over 20 years of inspiration to draw from.
I see no problems here.
It's a crossover, I don't see the big deal... Square-Enix and Ubisoft work together all the time, as Square-Enix publishes Ubisoft games in Japan.
I mean, I could understand if they actually put Ezio as a character in-game (as it seems we won't be getting most of the XIII cast as playable characters), but you're seriously complaining about a costume?
square-enix also makes assassins creed collectables, so its not like the game isnt affiliated with SE
Not a fan of blatant things like this as far as mmo's go.
I prefer references to be a bit more esoteric

Everyone just loves the assassins. No love for the wizards, other wise Harry Potter wouldn't exist.
No one knows a real Wizard, like Harry Dresden (Ironic, I know.)
Exactly what this game needs is a bigger mishmash of art styles and designs that don't fit the world just because they "look cool".
love assassins creed gear![]()
Ubisoft distributes some Square-Enix games in West and Square-Enix distributes Ubisoft games in East. They are linked for quite a long time now.
This cross-over still looks weird and useless for me, just like all the DLC's Final Fantasy XIII-2 has.
We already have hooded clothes in Final Fantasy XIV ^^
