Now SAM Tank dreams have been crushed... I would like to see either a Warhammer Tank or a Dual Wielding Tank.
I feel a Gunsword job belongs to melee DPS in maiming gear.

Warhammer Tank could be like what Eric mentioned which sounds really cool! Or I could envision a holy crusader that would be related to PLD but use it's holy magic more offensively.
Maybe a Magical Tank in same veins as DRK ie utilizing MP a lot more then the others. Would use it's Hammer as a Magical catalyst and create self barriers! (That self barrier tank some of us have been wanting)

Dual Wielding I could see BLU doing quite well, would be a fast paced tank in the same veins as MNK/NIN speed. Or if they want to save BLU they could use Mystic Knight with a Dual Wielding take, I could envision it's AF being heavy arabian themed armor.

I'd like a combat staff user.

Melee DPS with blunt damage and Ruyi Jingu Bang inspired moves. The TP bar is managed by switching between a slow, "safe" stance in which skills cost no TP and a quick hitting stance in which skills drain TP rapidly, but restore MP. Mana in turn can be used for situational additional skills, such as potent ranged or AoE attacks, self-buffs, party support or simply nukes. Unlike most melees, it doesn't have fixed positionals on its skills, however, each position has its own unique buff associated with it to encourage situational switching. Similarly, it has no set combos, the "rotation" is managed by a priority system which changes depending on the typical group situations: AoE, Burst, Mechanics (Downtime) and Sustained DPS.

The emphasis is on creating a less rigid melee playstyle with a different paradigm to the current ones.

A hammer tank would most likely be Viking.

    Fire weapon - DPS stance
    Ice weapon - Emnity Stance
    Thunder weapon - Support Stance(buff party,debuff enemies)

I would like to see a Shogun Tank original to XIV.
Heavy use of TP to support allies and for survivability, Uses stacks like warrior inorder to use some skills. If going by design such as a field commander or leader of troops, then I think a Nodachi would be most intreasting. As it would be a weapon that only the strongest and most skilled warriors would use on the battlfield.

Well a few mentioned blue mage, so I'll go some sort of demon/esper/primal (Harmonixer/Terra Brandford) morpher:

If not used for Bluemage, like FFXI, i'd like to see that death sentence theme used for a morpher like job. SMN might be using some of this reference in future content, at least when doing the quest it sounded possible it happens, but if not: using high Terra Branford / esper imbued to self sort of content as the basis for it's abilities. With varying visuals depending on which powers you're consuming (can make Espers or a fixed set of "primal" related creatures) - a fire infused state might have a manticore like resemblance for example. The strength of the image based on how deep into the forms you're going, of course if you go too deep there is a punishment (like BLM mechanic). The gameplay would be a slightly expanded monk form dance (with each esper theme having a theme of application like positional, ranged, etc - with certain buffs that you could use to respond to the given situation), and BLM maximizing flow before shifting out - with a few big flow shifters (later abilities that give more on the fly change, but has a longer cooldown). So you'd naturally move from form to form to maximize DD but you'd also prematurely do so to control your timers as well as to apply situation specific buffs. Allow abilities used on the hotbar to shift on a form change would make the hotbar a lot easier to use, so like when you shift form you don't need to macro in a entire bar change.

Time Mage - support DPS (like Bard and Mach, assuming these kind of sub role stay relevent)
I don't really care about the game play even though I'd definitely see a gameplay around cooldown management and reduction. (basically, around TIMErs)

Not if they're following actual historical accuracy like devs have been with other jobs since no viking ever historically used a hammer. Francesca would be the best bet, because all the other weapons that were traditionally used (sword, shield, spear) are all taken.

Judge is the only thing that actually does come to mind when it comes to a 2-handed hammer tank, but the problem there is ensuring it remains different from Paladin in terms of identity.

I can dig this, i also had an idea like nin's juggulate to afflict a different status effect depending on what enchantment you had on, Mystic Knights had alot of debuffs at their disposal

A melee class with a two handed mace/hammer.

A melee class with a one handed mace/hammer and possibly a shield if they make it a tank.

A melee class with a one handed axe and possibly a shield if they make it a tank.

A pet class with more focus/emphassis on the pet.
