Hey,
I often use others job, AST isn't my main, and whenever i use it i dont remember the effect the card does with Royal Road, so i was wondering if in the futur you could add a small icon to show the effect the card will do.
here's an example:

When I first started AST I kept a little note next to me to remind me what each card did and what each royal road did. It didn't take too long to just remember them all.
Basically:
Enhanced Set
Balance - Damage up
Bole - Defense up
Extended Set
Spear - Cooldown reduction
Arrow - Speed up
Expanded Set
Ewer - Refresh MP
Spire - Regain TP
Enhanced = +50% effect
Extended = +100% duration
Expanded = -50% effect, effect is AoE
Another way to remember enhanced cards increase something, so when expanded it increases potency. Extended is time based cards reduction and speed up, so when expanded it increases duration. Then it just leaves Ewer and Spire which I got into my head everyone needs/has both so expand.When I first started AST I kept a little note next to me to remind me what each card did and what each royal road did. I agree that it help, but it would be better not focus on a write paper while healing/doing things in game, i would have loved to put some echo macro put it would require to make a lot of them while making an icon into the skill would greatly enhance the peace of the fight (and our mind too).

You're right, having the note is distracting, but it's just a reminder until you've got it straight in your head. I used a small notepad window on my other monitor, but a sticky note would serve much the same function.I agree that it help, but it would be better not focus on a write paper while healing/doing things in game, i would have loved to put some echo macro put it would require to make a lot of them while making an icon into the skill would greatly enhance the peace of the fight (and our mind too).
Honestly the suggestion was to put a tiny icon on the Draw ability (when replaced by a card)... I'm not sure squinting down at the icon ("is that a plus or a clock?") is really better than glancing at a note.
In my opinion, it would be better, if the icon are easy to read, a circle with a dot for the spread, for the clock put the digit lines (with a small dot between) without circle it'll be fine, and as for the third, just this "^" is enough, make them easy to recognize and it'll be fine.You're right, having the note is distracting, but it's just a reminder until you've got it straight in your head. as it is not my main job, i tend to forget easily wich skills does what (when not playing the job for a period of time), so it would really help me to keep track of that.

An alternative would be what I did:
associate the colors of the cards with their normal effect and enhanced/extended Royal Road effect. Group them together in pairs for easy association. Use logic to understand what they would do on their own or enhanced/extended.
- Bole + Balance = green HP bar (therefore defense) + red attack power (like a brutal fire) > both will enhance potency
- Arrow + Spear = picture of an arrow (quick knock, fast raining arrows therefore attack speed) + falling star (a bit hard to associate so I assume its for the "other" speed) > both will extend duration
- Ewer + Spire = blue like mana (normally mana is depictured blue) + yellow like TP bar > both will AoE
It helped me like that. Before I used to write the cards down, but I could never memorize them. I've made the association in pairs and now I can instantly assign all cards correctly.

Yeah for now i assimilate the TP/MP regen to Spread in AoE and Def/Att UP to boost enhancer, it leave the others two as extend duration.

I had trouble with it at first, but you really do get used to it with repetition, especially if you play the job for a while (like working on a relic). It becomes second nature.
Could just put the help text on and hover over Royal Road till you get used to it.
