I really suspect they do these things specifically to offset the fact that there are more female-only glamour items. This way, even though females have more sets overall, they can point to the raw numbers and show that the gap is being closed...only it really isn't, they just made the problem worse because not only do males still have less, females now have a sloppily-made glamour set.

Our new design philosophy is: you can't make everyone happy, so make sure no one is.
