Now that I've seen it, I don't want it. It's unnaturally small and the red coloration isn't appealing to me at all.

The Odin mount is a great example because we literally don't have a choice. (And if they made it obtainable in-game at this point I'm positive the people who bought it would be upset, so it's too late, imo). The Zu/Fenrir mounts, up until this point, gave me the impression SE was trying to meet players in the middle. "The original version is obtainable in game, while the off-color version is buy-able and therefore separates the players who chose to grind and chose to buy." If they add red fenrir to the shop, I'd still want to the blue one because it's just better looking.I don't mind recolored things to be put in the CS, it's actually the unique items, obtainable only with the CS that makes me sick.
I mean SE could just put an horrible grind to obtain thing in the game and the people that don't want to put the efforts could just buy it too.
You've no choice atm, that's the problem in my opinion.
HOWEVER, if it's true that the red fenrir is smaller, then it's a unique mount unlike the Zu variants and I agree that it's shitty for mount collectors. When I see Odin, I think "no choice". But when I see Zu, I think "options". I'm okay with that, personally, and I assumed Fenrir would be the same.
Its very tiny. Can it fly? That could be something of a drawback if it was a ground-mount only. As for putting it in the cash shop, I'm a bit torn. In-game generally tends to be more fun so long as a mount is reasonably obtainable. Recently some FC friends pointed out that the Archon Chair we'd all been interested in was in the Gold Saucer for 750,000 MGP. We all collectively said, "I'd rather they'd put it in the Cash Shop than in-game at that price," and we all collectively lost interest in getting it.
Yes.. it flys.
This is the Chinese Promo Screenshot of it flying..
And this is comparing it's size to a standard Hyur sized Fenrir and a standard Lalafell sized Fenrir. The thing is too small not to mention the poor things back is probably about to break given how the Original Fenrir's back dips and it's stomach area curves upward.
Okay, I admit the red fenrir is cute size wise and I would love it, but not in cash shop. Personally still waiting for that cloud mount they got.
I'm more interested in that "bucket" minion tbh
I guess people prefer fly like mary poppins :P
