Does the syndicate's power ever reach Doma?
Does the syndicate's power ever reach Doma?
just change your home point. thats what i'm gonna do. it'll be whatever the next starting city is. that way i can return there and then teleport to those areas to make them cheaper. also will then shuffle my favourite spots around as well as my free one (got from having authenticator)
There will be at least ships to Othard way more cheap than teleport, use it.
A single challenge log entry can generate 1k-2k gil out of nowhere, and the meta entries give 10k. We also generate gil by doing roulettes, hunts, leves, beast tribe dailies and maps. Wondrous Tails has a gil option. A casual player doing some easy pve can generate over 50k gil per week without even noticing. My low level alt who I reached Heavensward with made over half a million without any crafting or gathering by the time the sprout icon vanished.
There is so much gil generated from thin air and no commonly used removal from the game except repairs, MB fees, teleports and maybe npc melds. Out of these only repairs and teleport fees apply to people who don't buy or meld things, and there are even ways to avoid repair and teleport fees. Ever heard the phrase "gil has no use in this game"? Gil just gathers in people's pockets and therefore it's buying power is constantly devalued. And people wonder why new glamours go for millions.
For the reasons I stated above I think teleport costs (especially in higher areas) should be 5x higher and repair costs for level 50+ gear should be higher too. The gil cost and gain of playing should roughly balance out to reduce inflation. People may teleport a lot while leveling but they will also generate gil a lot from all the new quests and dungeons.
Ironically, they often go for more on servers with less gil in circulation, i.e. smaller and non-legacy servers. On the flip side, lots of stuff here on Balmung is fairly cheap compared to other NA/EU servers. And yet again, on JP servers, things frequently tend to be much lower priced regardless of anything else. So I have my fair share of doubts this has much to do with inflation (It has a weak correlation at best) and not just crafters using the fact crafting sucks to leverage profits from people's unwillingness to engage in that content.
As it stands, gil is primarily generated in battle content, yet whenever you ask around who has how much money, battle class only players are on average the poorest players - their pockets aren't even getting particularly inflated. Considering this, any gil sink aimed at them is pointless, it's not hitting the right people. You gotta hit market board players(i.e. inflation sponges) and in a way that they can't just up their MB prices to compensate. Their pockets actually get inflated to the point of reaching the gil cap, not that of your average DoW/DoM, those won't reach that point in another dozen years if that.
Id rather have the teleports between Othard and Aldenard remain somewhat high. We are entering a new continent.
There should ofcourse be a cheap alternative in Gyr Abania for travels to Othard as they are both going to be relevant in the expac, so a 200gil boat or something.
The teleport price between Rhalgrs reach and closest position in othard i'd set around the 1.200gil. This amount is very easy to obtain. The longest travel with aetheryte possible i'd set around 2000gil.
A single Centurio Hunt kill and youre good to travel. Or anything really, this game showers us in small amounts of gil all the time.
Rumors say there is a hidden platinum chest that when opened will reveal a portal. And once that lucky individual enters, he or she will enter the realm where all the gil used for teleportation resides...
Highest I have ever paid to teleport was 600 gill maybe more. They should give us 3 more favorite locations and one more free teleport location
I stopped paying for teleports ages ago. Centurio Seals buy Aetheryte Tickets.
Ok yea just looked at how much teleporting costs and the highest I've seen to go from Idllyshire to the gold saucer is 751 Gil. Thats really not that bad, do the daily roulettes for some Gil and the higher levelled you are the more Gil you get from the roulettes, as a level 60 doing the levelling roulette you get 9k Gil from doing it, the level 50 60 expert and main scenario roulettes each give 5400 Gil. Doing all the roulettes you have access to can give you a decent chunk of Gil. Other methods of making Gil without having a crafter or gatherer job would be to gather item drops from mobs that sell decently on the mb.
