SPOILERS FOR 3.4: Implications of Titan's Summoning in 3.4

    SPOILERS AHEAD:

This is something that bugs me. In 3.4, you go to stop Titan's re-summoning, but a good kobold named Ga Bu gets very sad over the death of his parents, and unintentionally summons Titan. But Titan is repeating what Ga Bu said to his parent's body, with Alphinaud stating that Titan is filled with the want to destroy because of Ga Bu's negative emotions.

So if Primals are effected by the emotions of the person who summoned said Primal, why not have one of the peaceful Beast Tribe people summon the Primal with Calm, Pacifistic emotions, therefore effecting the Tempered people made by said primal. Then can we have the Primals we fight over and over, be good guys? Is that how it works for all Primals?, Or is Titan a special example?

Any primals that has been summoned is bad, no matter their perosnality. They drain the land of aether leaving it a lifeless husk. We have seen two "peaceful" primals so far, Alexander and Ramuh. Both told us to kill them asap since they themselves know they are bad for just existing. And Ramuh wanted to test our strength.

Yes we could summon good primals but they would do just as much damage as the bad ones.

People would still get tempered by the thing... and brainwashing is brainwashing afterall. Well that and a pacifist primal would be an easy problem in terms of solving.

Tempting will always be a problem along with the draining of the world's every life force . Sephirot was summoned for the sake of saving EVERYONE from the allagans but in the end it would just be as bad as any primal regardless of intentions.

Ramuh is summoned without bad intent other than for forestry protection, for the most part. He doesn't have any ill will against us, but we do have to slay him to stop him from draining the aether. He doesn't try to temper sylphs, but some want to be tempered so they can become more powerful.
So we can, and do have peaceful primals. But we still can't let them hang around.

Most of the primals vie for supremacy over the others. To increase their power or stability, they need not only crystals and aether, but worshippers. So they temper other beings to make the most loyal of worshippers to feed into their strength. As Canadane said as well, the primals simply existing drain the land of large amounts of aether. Aether supports life and keeps things in balance on Hydaelyn. Having significant aether depleted would probably spell doom to life. Considering the lore book states that areas with hardly any aether have erratic weather patterns, often in the extremes (like Garlemald) and that Eorzea is actually incredibly rich in aether compared to the rest of the world.
