Was there any technical limitation why we can't use the Expansion of Duties Permit indoors? And if so, is there any chance to see this restriction removed in 4.0?

Retainers are personal assistants, it'd make sense if they could help with housekeeping too. They'd make an house feel more lively, for sure, and way more than the generic npc vendors we have right now. We can keep the same restrictions, limited number indoors and outdoors, even lose the ability to purchase things from them if necessary.

While I'm on the matter, retainers could use more poses. I know it'd take precious resources right now, but they could at least have access to the 3 variant standing poses already in the game (the /changepose ones), and maybe even sitting ones.

Can we look forward to it?

I'm in support of this. MY ghost Edda retainer need to be moved from the cursed well into the house.

I'll bump this. There are many weird restrictions on housing that don't seem to have anything to do with technical limitations or server load.

Also, why aren't the retainers' names visible? They're visible to everyone on the market board and when summoned privately -- what would make it difficult to have the name displayed instead of just "Retainer" when installed as part of housing?

I'd love to be able to use more than just one per small house on that note. My retainers are made to look like my friend's characters or my alts so it looks like they always at my house to create a cute effect(and allows her to meet her own alts while playing another character) and having just one feels a bit sad. I don't even want the retainer quirks whatsoever.
