    DEV REQUEST: PLEASE do not add cast bars to Samurai

    Hi guys,

    I know I am jumping the gun here and will probably get flamed for it; but I just want the Devs to know that majority do not like cast bars on any jobs except for casters. I praying and hoping that Samurai will just have animation locks like Dragoon. Since we are only getting 2 new jobs – both being the most requested jobs- I hope the Devs use early feedback into consideration b/c I really want Stormblood with all its job changes to be a grand slam. Thank you

    I agree please don't do this, it really ruined/ruins mch for me.

    I could see it happening somehow...lol. Maybe cast bars to some of the skill, but not all of them? I dunno.

    I'm not sure why they would. No other melee in game has a cast bar. ( mnk, nin, drg )

    I'm actually ok with the cast times on MCH cause it works, it feels like MCH was actually implemented with the cast times in mind, unlike BRD where it just feels tacked on to complete the comparison with MCH.

    As long as the cast times are worked in to feel natural on the job it's fine, it's when they just throw it on for the sake of having it that it sucks.

    Funny you should say that. I feel the bard is more fluid and it feels like the MCH abilities were just tossed together. I say that as MCH was my first job to 60, then dropped like a bad habit.

    Even though Bard has an oGCD critical to its rotation that has a cast bar and so clips the GCD...?

    I can see them adding a cast bar to the SAM's "charge and release skill", like the one shown in the video, but I doubt any other skills would have it. Personally I'd rather have a cast bar than an animation lock for that - at least you can move and cancel the skill rather than die due to animation lock.

    From the trailer the skill seems to have a longer animation than any of DRG's jumps. We'll have to wait and see what they do with it, but I wouldn't complain about having one skill with a cast time, as long as the other skills do not.
