How do you feel about Dancer not being added with this expansion?

As someone who was supporting the idea of Dancer being released for Stormblood... I'm actually indifferent on there being no reveal. Maybe it's just because I'm used to not getting everything I'd like. Just look at SAM. I wanted that to be a Tank but it got revealed as a DPS.

I was hoping that the developers would have seen a neat opportunity to get a different type of healer into the game by making Dancer a TP based healer. But hey, there's always 5.0, even though that means having to wait another 2-3 years. As I mentioned in another thread, I'm slightly salty that tanks and healers don't get any new toys to play with. Stormblood however may convince me to finally get a new DPS main going, like how among the 3 jobs Heavensward released, DRK convinced me to change my main among tanks. (I still level PLD out of respect though due to being my starting tank job, and it's the only job among the 3 tanks that can silence)

But this topic is about Dancer, so I won't dive into that discussion here. Again, I'm indifferent, with maybe a tad bit of salt on the side. There's always next expansion. I look forward to Stormblood regardless.

Ofcourse, i was hoping that they would add jobs like Dancer in this expansion. But, personally, i was already sold with Red Mage being released in Stormblood. Other then that, i'm more curious about the places we will be visiting, the story we'll be experiencing and the baddies we will be facing.

There's always gonna be another chance for the dancer to appear in the next expansion. /fingerscrossed

I'm indifferent because I was never expecting Dancer to come this patch. It was rather clear that Woman in Red was a Monk, and given that it was being used as the biggest piece of evidence that Dancer would be added despite that...well noone had me convinced.

That said, if the devs have been paying attention to threads about jobs people want/were expecting Dancer should be on their radar now if it wasn't prior to the fanfests. As well those who wanted Dancer to be a healer will probably see a higher chance of it being such since the next two new jobs (regardless of when they are added) will probably be a Tank and a Healer.

I wouldn't mind if Dancer gets released next expansion. It would be a good candidate for a healer and it generally sounds like a very stylish job. Maybe Far East has yet to reveal all its secrets... I imagine handheld fans would be suitable weapons, but maybe others who are more familiar with FF lore disagree. They could have melee attacks as opposed to the usual caster dots and direct damage. That alone would make half of their toolkit different from other healers.

I would be thrilled if they also released some kind of a shapeshifter and/or a beast-taming trap-weaving ranger but I don't know what jobs those would be called. Maybe Blue Mage could learn animal aspects and magically transform to those animals for different utility.

doesn't matter to me, we will keep getting more and more new jobs the more we get the higher the chance of getting the one you wanted will happen.

Ok this is good I'm seeing posts from both sides on this, some are commenting on the dispute of the girl in red being a monk lets not bring that into this thread it is a different point of view and I'm not going to make any of my comments on it in this thread. Those commenting on the feeling slapped in the face that is also from someone that has a different view lets not make that into an argument.

I will still enjoy the expansion as I had said before but I'm just not hyped like I had been at the prospect of Dancer being one of the new jobs. It could still be a surprise job or it could be one of the new jobs for 5.0 time will only tell.

Well, I am a bit bummed but I can still hold hope if they do decide to add a 3rd mid expansion based off of the interview. So perhaps we may still see it, but as long as it comes out eventually I don't mind too much.
