I'm as disappointed with DNC not being added as I am that any other of 20+ jobs weren't added. I'm glad more jobs were added to the roster whether or not I have a burning passion for them personally, because I know someone else may enjoy them.

On one hand, sad that not everyone got their job added to the game.
On the other hand, glad. The last thing that "server" known as balmung needs is a friggin dancer job.

Rdm is being added in stormblood unless you had ment another job.

I hit my post limit yesterday but I have kept up with reading each post. I like some of the ideas and views I've been seeing through out the thread.
I have seen some great ideas in concern to what dnc could be in XIV, I think the most popular one so far would be as a healer. I could so see it as a type of melee healer using dances for healing, other abilities could be like 'drain samba' cast on the mobs giving your party a 'drain spell' effect. I've seen suggestions for dnc using a fan as their weapon, with the trend of healers also doing dps a melee healer would add some flare I would think.
Another suggestion I have seen was for an agility based tank job, personally I'm not too thrilled at dnc being a tank but could be interesting if done right.

Well before any new jobs were revealed, even before the fan festivals, Yoshi P noted that adding 3 new jobs all at once (and then having to balance them) proved to be a bit too much for them. He again said this at fan fest recently. It's an easy miss, especially as hype and speculation built up to the reveals, but expecting more than 2 was a bit far fetched. Easy, considering we got 3 in Heavensward, but if it was too much, why repeat that and have issues?
I'll take 2 jobs done and balanced well over 3 just to satisfy numbers.
But having only 2 and both being DPS when we already know dps IS the queue problem is as disappointing as not having 3.
I watched the US fan fest and I don't remember him mentioning that. Let's expect 5.0 and the the new excuse that two are "too much" as well and they'll implement half a job in 6.x :P

What he mentionned is that, between ARR and HW, the tank/healer/DPS population didn't change much. So, basically, regardless of the number of jobs, you'll still end with roughly the same number of players for each role, and thus, queue time will motly stay the same.
lol, perhaps the rest of the data center nees to sever ties with Balmung and allow it to drive on it's own through the Aether?
not disappointed at I'll, I really don't see how dancer would fit in the game.

dont care tbh :P
